Interesting question. I'm not sure I understand your choice of the word 'should'. Shouldn't we be able to wear whatever we want?

To answer your question, A if I'm visiting a normal beach with families and kids, or where my own relatives would be.

B if I were by myself or with friends.

C if I felt really comfortable and was in the company of my husband.

In situation C, I'd lose the top if I wasn't the only one.

I would say that it depends on the body and how comfortable they are with their body. I have seen a 300lb guy in a speedo and a 300lb woman in a thong, and both are a horrible vision, but they think they are the cat's meow.
