What vibe do both rings give & which one would you prefer?

The emerald cut is a little more classic and formal, to me. Looks richer, fancier. The oval cut is also attractive, but a high quality diamond, doesn't need extra facets to look fine. Extra facets are usually employed to mask flaws, occlusions.

Engagement rings, personally not big on the stone set shanks but I prefer squarer cuts like a princess/emerald/baguette/asscher
