How short is too short for dresses or skirts?

Office: we have no dress code against mini skirts but wouldn't go shorter than mid thigh length

When going on a night out, depends on where you're going. Two fingers, kinda acceptable. I personally won't wear that short too often.
In office, despite that most of time all people are sitting in chairs, mid thigh is the limit so hems wouldn't crawling up became too revealing.

I use two fingers because from my experience anything shorter might look still ok but latest when moving it will slide up and my ass will be visible. I like short but not so short that I can't move around properly or need to pull down all the time

In the office, well a nice office of a big corporation, mid-thigh will land you in an uncomfortable conversation with the boss, HR or other women. The women will complain and they will win. I have seen it. The men don’t mind though.

Most firms here, especially smaller firms, have no dresscode. A girl at my former employer still managed to get a talking to, about her dresses length or the lack thereof. 🤷‍♂️😂

I personally don’t care. I am usually pretty good at keeping my eyes focused o my own thoughts and from gazing at women. But why would you want to wear a miniskirt? It draws extra attention to your hips and legs.

Personally, I don't care. Go completely naked, if you want to. I'll support your right to do so. I don't think we should HAVE to wear clothes but, if you're going to, and it's that short, again, what's the point?
About a decade ago, one of my neighbors invited me over into her back yard just to have a casual chat with her and two other guys she knew, one that lived across the street from her. She was wearing a string bikini while chatting with us. We were in the grass in lawn chairs. At one point, she got a phone call and needed to take it privately so, she went into the corner of the yard a few feet away and laid face down in the grass to take her call. When she got up and came back to her chair, I noticed that one of her tits partially fell out of the cup in her bikini showing her full areola and nipple. I didn't say anything to her about it, partly because it looked pretty but mostly because I don't feel she should HAVE to keep them covered up! Eventually, she casually figured it out and readjusted her cup over it without looking at it or saying a word about it. As she was from Ecuador, I suppose they think nothing of having their tits out for all to see.

I've been wearing short dresses since many years. It's not an issue. And in the rare cases where someone might see something for a short time, I'm not that prude that it would bother me. But I'm not changing my styling for the whole year because of a few occasions where it might not be ideal. Normally it's just fine so again, if my ass is covered why does it matter?

I don't know, I don't wear mini dresses. Partly because I've tried one on and it rode up to my waist in no time at all!

It is, so it's fine. Short dresses riding up your waist can happen. Either because they are badly cut, if it's just not meant for your body type (if you tried girls stuff not surprising) or too short or a bad combination of the three. I know what to look for and how to avoid them or when trying on I walk around a bit too see if it's fine. During my school days I did not care about it (but also liked the attention) but if you need to pull down your dress or skirt every 5 minutes it's annoying. I like sexy but it still needs to be comfortable too
