4 moComing from an old fart...
It was hard for me to get used to. But now I've kinda gotten used to it, conditionally. A LOT of people get tats just because it's the current fad. But what's current now will almost certainly not be what's current in the future. People mostly get tats when they are young. They have no concept of 20-30 years from now. Young people just don't think that way.Do NOT get a tat just for the sake of getting a tat because it's the current thing. At least make it tasteful. At least make it something that might withstand the test of time. Think it through and DO NOT get a tat just to be getting one.
Fashions change. Tats are fashion, but unlike clothes, you can't replace them with whatever the latest fashion is. Just imagine wearing clothes that are 40 years out of date.14 Reply- 4 mo
i guess i figured my body is all dinged up and scarred enough anyway that a tattoo would just compliment the inmate aesthetic 😠i was going to get a simple korean phrase on my wrist (meaning "we go together") and a koi fish on my ribcage
- 4 mo
What do you mean you're dinged up?
Are you Korean?
Where do you want to put the text? If it's prominent, nobody will know what it means. It'll just be another tat.
Koi fish on the rib cage is OK. I don't think that will go out of style. Get a good artist though. - 4 mo
i got scars everywhere from the neck down. and yes, i am korean. i want the text on my wrist or neck
- 3 mo
I've got scars from a car accident and metal screwed to my bones. I don't think further marking myself up would some how improve things.

What Guys Said
Honestly, the whole vibe of this question makes me cringe a bit after reading a couple of your responses to other users.
"I might get A or I might get B".
"I might get it on my ribs, neck, wrist, or back"
Wtf is that. You're getting inked on Thursday and you haven't even made up your mind on what you're getting and where? Have you even met your artist and done a concept or rough out?
It sounds to me like you thought to yourself "I think I want a tattoo. They look cool". Then proceeded to walk into a random parlour only to take the first available appointment with an unknown artist who doesn't care enough about their work to turn down an easy paycheck rather than put out trash.
If any of my assumptions are right. I'd advise you not to show up for your appointment. Loosing a deposit is a small price to pay in the grand scheme of life.
Take some more time. Think on it some more. Only when you've decided exactly what you want and where, then you should invest the time into looking for the right artist.
The first artist willing to do the work is rarely going to be the right artist. If they don't offer you advice or suggestions and they're not looking out for your best interest, keep searching.
And don't get words. Ink bleeds over time. Words are fine when they're fresh (if that's your thing) but give them 10-15 years, or rather even 30+ and they'll be completely illegible. That's a lesson I learned the hard way and it cost me a lot to fix it.
...
All that doom and gloom aside... I love inked women. But taste is everything. For every 10 women with work done, you're lucky if 1 is done tastefully.

u 4 mo"A new study [article published in 2019] has discovered that people with tattoos were more likely to be diagnosed with mental health issues and to report sleep problems.
Researchers also found that people who had tattoos were more likely to be smokers, to have spent time in jail, and to have a higher number of sex partners in the past year."
I think tattoos look trashy and slutty. I have never seen a woman who became more attractive after getting a tattoo.

m 4 moI don't think "more or less" of them as a person... I certainly don't make any assumptions over tattoos either
my opinion about women, are individual opinions and it will depend on who they are and how they are as women...
as for the tattoos, I will have an opinion about them too, as tattoos... and that will depend on whether or not they're nice, or great, or just average or not good, and I don't have anything against tattoos, but I also don't give them any extra attributes to them, lol
other than that, good luck with yours...10 Reply - 2.3K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic.
4 moThere are a lot of aspects to this question. I've put a link below from one of the most reputable research groups on the planet.
For starters, which men are you talking about? Opinions vary significantly by:
* age group
* whether or not the man himself has a tattoo
* number of tattoos
* location of tattoos
* race
* income
* education level
* relationship statusAnother survey that did not specify the ages of men surveyed, taken by come away with these numbers:
44% of men dislike tattoos on a woman
23% of men are indifferent or say it depends on the tattoo
33% of men find them attractive, again, no specifics on size, location, type of tattoo10 Reply - 665 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic.
4 moTattoos CAN look good as long as they're designed well and placed correctly. I'm not a fan of overdoing it though. I feel like a sleeve is too much. The ones on the face make you look like a psycho. And some are just dumb period.
And I prefer when someone gets something really thought out. Like it means something to them, rather than just doing it for the hell of it spontaneously.
I also have a specific taste leaning more towards boho styled tats for women.10 Reply 479 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. Look , it used to be awesome snagging a chick with tattoos bcoz it was slutty , now it's just far too mainstream. and boring.. and forever.
Now when you find a " blank canvas " it's awesome..
It's all been ruined , it means nothing.10 ReplyI don't mind tattoos on women; I have some myself, so I'm not a hypocrite about them.
However, it does depend on the tattoo, and the placement, though. Tattoos are generally a personal thing, and I don't judge 99% of them, but if a person has something like "SLUT" tattooed on their forehead, upper chest, or other similarly exposed area, I'm going to assume they are trash, with poor decision making skills.

But I suppose if you like someone you can look past some tats.

luckily i don't need fake boobs
Arms or back is fine with me, as long as it's not overly large. But that's just my own preference.
Which one are you getting and where?

im getting a smaller korean phrase on my wrist and a koi fish on my ribcage

4 moDepends on where the tattoo is and if it's just random images that mean nothing to the person. Random tattoos with 0 meaning are trashy, and face tattoos normally look stupid. Below the neck tends to be the better canvas.

10 Reply738 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. The size number and location is important. If it's small or innocuous and not in a weird place, then it's fine. But if there are a lot, it can be unattractive.
