Is it smarter to buy cheaper, comfy pyjamas than pricey ones?

I haven't worn pajamas since I was about 4 years old.

I don't get the pajama concept, but you do you!

Cheap is sometimes the way to go, but on the other hand, pricey can be worth the cost.

I'm reminded of this story.
I used to need to buy a new wallet about once a year.
I'd buy cheap wallets, and they'd wear out pretty fast.
One day, 25 years ago or so, I happened to be at a Coach store with my wife.
I saw a wallet I liked and sprang for it.
I still have and use it, and it's still in great shape, too.
25 years ago, that wallet cost me $120.
If I'd still been buying cheap wallets yearly, I'd have spent way, way more than that one-time $120.
