Which ear piercing should I get next to complement my lobe and helix?

So this is what my ear currently looks like, I have a single lobe piercing too so keep that in mind, I just don’t have jewellery in right now. So basically my single lobe and helix are done. I’m thinking of doing one more piercing to complete this ear. I don’t want to do a rook because I have that on my other ear. I don’t want a daith because I had that on this same ear but grew out of it and let it heal.

I'm voting for lobe and/or upper lobe because I like diagonal designs. Maybe also because I'm not adventurous.

Are you trying to get piercings on other parts of the ear too cause an upper lobe stud along with the one you have now would look clean

I actually did have second lobes and I took them out because while it looked fine on this ear, it didn’t look right in my left ear, way too crowded.

But aren't ears the same? They are mirrored and identical, maybe it's a positioning issue?

I’ve thought about that because the other ear really doesn’t allow for a second lobe that looks good…. But I don't know man. I feel like lobes should be paired. I am thinking of conch or tragus right now though, what do you think of that? For my ear shown in the pictures

I think you got a better taste in this than I do, that should look good too. Sounds like you change these things a lot, does this mean you just pierce them when you decide to get them or you already have them all and keep them open to change through styles 😆

Lool. I’ve made some silly decisions here and there, I’ve done 4 lobe piercings that I took out so they don’t heal because they looked silly on my left ear like I been saying. I also had a daith and while I did grow out of it, the reason why it’s no longer there is because the jewellery fell out on its own somehow and I didn’t realise until a long time after 😭

If you take them out you kind of lose them after a few days unless they were properly healed which my faith would have been but I think it’s been months before my friend asked me about it and I realised it’s no longer there

Don't they have something people can put there overnight to keep the holes open, or there should be, if there isn't then there's an idea, so they heal pretty fast, does that work all around tho ear? No scars no nothing, it just closes? 😂

I think they have clear jewellery but the piercing studio I go to didn’t seem to have them so instead I used a metal barbell for my daith, so that way it wasn’t as visible as it would be with a ring or heart shaped jewellery- that’s why it took me a while to realise the jewellery was no longer there.

Lol, I’ve poked 9 holes in my ear during my lifetime… damn.

Oh to answer your question, it does pretty much work that way around the ear I think. If the piercing is healed then there could be something left behind. I don’t know if you’ve seen a healed cartilage piercing but it’s a straight up hole in your ear where you can see the other side, so I’m sure it isn’t as clean if you were to take it out, the hole would probably become a lot smaller and less visible but not close completely. Whereas if you took it out while it was fresh it would probably get back to the way it was completely, like I said a fresh piercing closes within days, probably hours if you take it out. Especially cartilage ones

It closing hours in is such a small window, imagine piercing it without owning earrings and the store is closed then waking up in the morning and your piercing hole is gone. Or piercing it and then running errands and by the time you get home it's gone. And 9 is far less than I would have guessed, assuming from your question I thought youd seem like someone that would always change the piercings around, and if you were as forgetful as me, your ears would have to be pierced everyday 💀

No, I don’t like the look of too many piercings. I prefer the dainty minimalist look.

That wouldn’t really happen because anyone who’s piercing an ear knows you have to put the jewellery in as soon as you’ve pierced the ear. It doesn’t work any other way. Most people should be going to a professional piercer anyway

It took a while for me tbh, but it didn’t cause me much trouble. Just make sure to not move it unnecessarily, get a travel pillow/ piercing pillow to sleep on so you’re not putting pressure on it if you’re a side sleeper, and use a barbell rather than a ring because the healing process is much better. You can change it up when it heals, because the ring catches onto things and can be irritating when healing. And of course clean it as advised by the piercer, and all should be good.

Based on what you already have, I’d go for either a second lobe or a conch. A second lobe with a tiny stud gives a super balanced, dainty stack and really complements a helix. If you want something a bit bolder, a conch with a small hoop or gem adds a gorgeous “center” to the ear without clashing with your other piercings 💕
