Whats stopping more people from dying their hair crazy colors?

Saw a video of a woman wearing purple hair and it made me wonder why people don't seem to do it more, I assumed it must be the fear of being judged, do you think fashion will ever turn into unaturally colored hair, if you look at these fashion shows people already have lost their minds. 😂

To do it correctly, you need to use a hair dresser and maintaining it is costly. Also dark hair doesn't show up the colors as well as light hair and bleaching your hair to put another color on it is also expensive and hard on the hair.

I'm okay, never dyed my hair and I prefer to keep it that way 😂

I dyed my hair burgundy, plum when I was younger if that counts and even cherry red once or twice. I don’t think it’s that people are afraid of what others will think, at least here in the west, cause people already dress as they like. I guess most people just aren’t interested in those colors or don’t want to risk damaging their hair.

A lot of people secretly love crazy colors, but a few things hold them back: work dress codes, fear of damage (bleach is brutal 😅), cost and upkeep, and exactly what you said… judgment.

I do think bold colors are already mainstream compared to 10 years ago. Maybe not “everyone,” but bright streaks, hidden panels, and soft pastels will keep spreading for sure 💜

I’ve done it as a natural balayage. I don’t think I’ll ever color it a crazy color and I think it just really depends on people’s preference and personality.

I personally prefer to keep my hair natural. Once you dye your hair you have to touch up the roots every month and possibly wear extra products to maintain the color.

Well it's not necessarily a look that makes people assume good things, but I wouldn't be surprised if the judgement is noticable, it's probably the piercings, the more you got the more you are judged I'm sure
