Would this be okay for Halloween, or should I choose something else?

Since it is the truth but just wondering

I was gonna do something else but I think it would be too revealing meaning I like sexual costumes

It is part an event for it that why I was gonna wear it

[Effably]

You can, of course. If that would be the most meaningful to you, go for it.

Personally I'd not at all enjoy making every social encounter of the night about something horrible that happened to me in the past. Even disregarding impact on others, and I do think we should disregard that since shame is a major contributor to trauma, I just don't think it'd put me in a festive mood to have people constantly commenting on my bad memories.

So I'd go with a different one. Especially given that having it on Halloween, a pretend dressup day, might send the wrong signals.

What do you suggest

[SamIam96]

The fun thing about Halloween is that you can be anything you want and people accept it. Wear your sexy costume.

WRT the tee shirt, good people will empathize with what you've endured but that shirt at a party screams victim mindset. Is that the person you want to be? Do you want to spend the night telling the story of your abuse?

It's cliché, but you can't change the past. Enjoy the present. And be the person that other people would want to enjoy it with.

[SamIam96]

Thank you for the MHO.

Happy Halloween! 🎃

[7Phoenix7]

It would be okay… especially if it’s something you feel strongly about. Like you really want to do it…

But if not… I’d do something more fun.

[lilBigPotato]

Not for me but you need to like it, that's what matters.

[JazzieJanna]

What would you suggest

[AI Opinion]

If it’s the truth and not targeting a specific real person or group in a cruel way, it’s usually fine for Halloween 😉

Halloween costumes can be bold or funny, but they shouldn’t be hateful, racist, or mocking people’s tragedies.

If you feel a bit uneasy or worried it might hurt someone, I’d switch to something fun, clever, or spooky instead 🎃✨

[AgentG111]

Can't actually fully see the picture but I believe pick one or pick two would suit you better than actually getting in a full cuddly Highlander cow outfit unless I would be able to actually cuddle with said lady in the cuddly Highlander cow outfit

[JazzieJanna]

Haha the highland cow was just something I put on the gag not me actually wearing it

[AgentG111]

Well it's cute.

[AviatorTom]

The Domestic Violence shirt is a political statement, inappropriate for Halloween.

Get a simpler, non-political costume. Maybe as a witch?

[Staximus]

I’m not sure what the costume is even supposed to be, it looks like you are going to an event about domestic violence or something

[EveryDayIsPretzelDay]

Halloween is supposed to be fun, isn't it?

That doesn't really scream "Fun!"

[Chayce]

Exactly this 😂 this outfit is not fun at all.

[Laulenke]

I wouldn’t know I don’t go out on Halloween I normally stay in watch movies get drunk be myself or I have to work like this year

[Nikki1989]

Looking good. I like the shirt.

[Kassandra1994]

Everything looks great on you ❤️

[NathanDavis]

I don't see anything wrong with it

[scott04sa22]

That's up to you.

[Bklynbadboy12]

Yes that's fine

[Bklynbadboy12]

Did you decide what your gonna where yet
