What do you think of it if it's just for cosmetic reasons?
Why do panties and bras have the bows on the front?
I beleive its a reminant of older styling of clothing, ladies underware always use to have things assosiated with elegance and femaninity in the past, and one sutch thing are bows.
so trying to look feminine and elegant.

Just a simple ornament to decorate the piece of clothing.

Most have a bow, because that's where they attach the size tag, that way you aren't going to tear the fabric from removing the tag.

As a guy who loves frillies, I love the little bow at the front. Sometimes it takes the form of a little flower head, which is even better. Maybe it's just cosmetic, but if it's pretty, why not>

I don't like appearing "cute," "girly," or feminine at all, so the bows only annoy me. They even put them on boxer shorts. I mean, really? Would you do that for a guy? No? So why do it for a girl? Oh because "hur dur they're female."
