I’m starting college in a few days and I have a fear that I might overdress because I heard that most people wear jeans and a tee or leggings and a hoodie. I on the other hand, like to dress up but I don’t know if the way I dress would be considered overdressed or make it look like I’m trying too hard. I’ll give a summary of the kinds of outfits I normally wear:
-Basic solid coloured tee or turtleneck tucked into straight leg jeans, heeled doc martens, matching belt, and matching jewelry (a necklace or bracelet)
-tight fitted solid top (not revealing) with soft pants/paper bag style/palazzo pants, and neutral block heels (small heel) or leather sneakers, and maybe some dainty jewellery
-dressier top or blouse with jeans/jeggings, and Chelsea boots

I don’t overdo my makeup or hair, I just keep my hair in its natural wave, and for makeup I just wear tinted moisturizer, blush, brow pencil, mascara, tinted lip balm, and maybe some thin eyeliner.

Does my style seem too over the top for college?

This together probably cost me 1.50$ total at thrift shop. I’m not keeping it for the monetary value. I just like it as something free spirited. However a few problems.

Skirt~ I like the skirt in every way except for the way if fits me. It is two sizes too large, so it falls from my waist but when it sits at my hips it causes a square effect.

Shirt~ I liked the style of the shirt except that it had an elastic hem. I cut it off bc 😐 uncomfortable. I did underestimate how much it would rise from the point I made the cut. It is ok if I do not move but I will have to wear a shirt under , or keep my arms at my side at all times.

I’m not sure if I should toss ~even for casual use. I wouldn’t give it away bc it’s very worn and it’s been altered. So options are keep or give to MrMr as bedding. Thanks.

The men in my family, including my brother and father are all clean shaven. So, my preference is for clean shaven. I don’t mind stubble but he has to shave when we go out.

I’ve been blonde my whole life, should I go brunette? I feel like the blonde doesn’t flatter me anymore

I prefer regular slim models. They don’t need to change.
