I am just another nobody without a name.. But i strongly believe that the level of modesty should reflect 2 basic things 1) what is appropriate when you consider the location/time of day/ other contributing factors such as, other people or the lack of other people there etc...
2) your clothes... Your physical apearance will speak louder than your words... at least before you get the chance to show off your mind... Therefore... You really have to ask your self... How would u like to be perceived... By going extremely conservative or extremely sexy, you unintentionally allow your "date" to jump to conclusions... Because they can only assume things based on the information they have... So being dressed " neutrally" allows you more opportunity to show the real you... Not a quick stereotypical opinion of you. To not far left , not far right but as neutral as possible is what i would suggest to a friend. Even though i am just another nobody without a name.
On a first date you want to be moderately modest. So you want to wear that nice blouse that shows a bit of cleavage with a nice blazer or jacket. Have your hair looking nice. Wear some heels. Put on makeup but not too much. No makeup is fine too.
The most important thing in my opinion is a nice pair of snug fitted jeans. Get a nice pair of jeans that really make your butt look round shaped and sexy. With a good pair of nice jeans you can look good in a classy joint or a more low key joint.
I would avoid dresses or showing your belly. Dresses make you look a bit too prude. Showing your belly will make a guy horny but focus more on fucking you instead of connecting emotionally with you.
1) for second date maybe this outfit says screw dinner and a movie how bigs your back seat , then she asks you to drop her at her corner after. I love the outfit I just think it gives away the farm instead of selling them on your melons 2) again love the outfit but it says you're getting laid on your first date tonight buddy, I realize things have changed since I was dating but I don't think that's really the message you want to give on the first date if I'm wrong somebody straighten me out please 3) okay this one goes too far the other direction this one says take me to dinner take me to movies take me home drop me off it's nice dress but sort of thing you wear after you is going out for a few months 4) okay with her cute face she can pull off but personally a little bit above knee would be better now I'm not sure about the sweater thing I would drive off in a rush if she was to come out like that

My opinion is that men who just want to get laid will tell you whatever they think you want to hear. It's so funny reading what they put on questions like these. I think any man that would be considered a "good catch" as far as his integrity and honor goes, would prefer modest to moderately modest in public and slutty in private.
How she dresses should be determined by where you are going on the date and what she feels comfortable wearing there. You aren’t going to wear sexy things to certain places and overly modest things are going to look out of place at other places. If it’s a first date then she should just be herself and not dress to impress.

On the first date I want to see pants, leggings or a skirt with opaque tights. These outfits are all bad, and would leave a negative impression on me if a woman was to show up in either of them to our first date.
The woman in the burgundy leather jacket is the closest to what I expect a woman to show up in to a date, as long as we swap the whole lower body for something more appropriate, and throw those ugly, ugly "shoes" right in the trash.
It doesn't really make a difference to me but I honestly find more modest clothing very attractive. It says "I don't need to show off my skin to be beautiful." Any woman can turn heads in a bikini but not all women are confident in a full length dress.
That said, I'd be happy if I could get a first date at all.

On dates, I dress for comfort. There’s nothing more annoying than constantly pulling down your shirt, readjusting your bra, or pulling down your skirt so he can’t see your panties. I usually go in jeans and a nice shirt
Well I’d say classy is the best option ( it’s a bit different from modest). I think sexy goes hand in hand with classy too if the girl is naturally hot ( as opposed to just wearing tight/revealing clothing).

Doesn't matter to me, comfort, and appropriately dressed to the occasion is more important (appropriately dressed ie: if we are going to walk around and take in the city, or maybe a day trip to the Catskill mts., etc).

She can wear what she wants. I just think it's weird to dress sexy unless you're going to a bar or nightclub or something. I like the jeans and Jean jacket look and the one below, I'm a simple guy. In saying that me not liking the sexy one is probably just some underlying insecurity I have.
Both sexy and moderately sexy are good. But examples of sexy you've given aren't good, they're just trying too hard, and probably be more suited for nightout. One can be stylish and sexy. So there is nothing wrong with sexy.
You'll probably get all kinds of answers, but I love a sophisticated, intelligent girl who saves her physical charms for later. So modest works for me.

Both sexy and modest are relative terms, not every guy think that sexy looks like those pictures above, or that modest looks like those other pictures above.
I like my woman to dress like a lady out in public. It makes her look more mature. I don't want my woman looking like she just finished f**king another guy.
