What's your opinion on chokers?

I have worn them occasionally and was just wondering other people's opinions on them and if they're a generally liked thing or the opposite. I had a guy tell me before it's also a "slutty" thing to wear, is that generally true?

bad! someone could choke on it. i could just leave it their and leave the comment to have a funny vibe, but no. if someone were to choke on it, chances are that before that, they wouldn't be thinking much about that possibility, or even what would happen if death were to be the end result. the King James Bible (God's holy, ordained word for the English speaking world) says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and that no one would be justified in the sight of God by their works because there is not a just man upon earth that doeth good and sinneth not (Psalm 143:2 and Ecclesiastes 7:20). if you think to say "i'm a good person, i have never done X, X, or X" that would mean you're counting on your own righteousness. but God's blood was shed for sinners (Acts 20:28 and 1Timothy 1:15), and if you think (as a professing Christian or otherwise) that your good works will do you good for salvation, then you're ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish your own righteousness (Romans 10:3). true Christianity is NOT what the world sees it as. you DON'T go to a (pagan) building called a church (which is condemned in scripture, and proof that they are pagan Acts 19:37 which we see that the godess diana of the Ephesians were worshiping an idol in a building called "church", but of course you will not see that in the modern bibles because they change them to temple because then they can go to these churches and not be condemned by the scriptures for what they are doing), you DON'T give up 10% of your income so that they may sustain that dead building, you DON'T wear a Sunday best (and actually that is also condemned in James 2:1-3). you ask then, why are these unbiblical, unChristian things going on in professing Christianity? Matthew 15 is your answer. pharicees, hypocrites (Matthew 23). adding traditions of men and thereby, overthrowing the commandments of God. the roman catholic whore of babylon (Revelation 17 and 18) is the worst of them all for that (being the lineage of anciant babylon and all). if you think you're a Christian, examine yourself if ye be in the faith (2Corinthians 13:5), God the Father himself said that many are headed to destruction and few find life (Matthew 7:13-14)

I think chokers can be extremely elegant. They do well at accentuating a slender, graceful neck.
And there are so many styles to chose from, depending on the look you are shooting for. They can be classy and super feminine. I'm picturing Audrey Hepburn. Silk or velvet gos perfectly with a low-cut formal dress. A silver, gold or jeweled brooch can even be incorporated. Diamond chokers are fashionable with shimmery evening wear.
The ones that are made out of knotted fishing line look good, too, in more casual settings. And then there are chokers that look like bondage attire, including those made out of black leather with studs.

Either way, they can be a tasty accessory.

A girl is not a slut because she wears a choker. It’s a form of fashion and I think they look great. Personally, I’m in a BDSM relationship and I have my girlfriend wear a choker constantly as a sign of her submission to me. Therefore a choker can be a sexual accessory, but more commonly I like them used as fashion accessories for completing an outfit. They go great with any black top, whether it’s a shirt or a dress, or even to compliment a black bottom. I choose to wear them for parties where I want to look especially hot

Chokers are back and they are fucking sexy. it seems like they were out of style for a while but I have seen them in a lot of model and celebrity photoshoots lately and they just look great. Especially the black chokers that are slightly wide like a ribbon. If I go out with a chick and she's wearing a choker then it's pretty much came over. If you analyzed and policed everything you did in terms of the messages they might send to certain people, you'd go crazy. It simply isn't your responsibility, and there's no way you can even pretend to control how you're perceived.

You shouldn't stop wearing a choker, even if the men you encounter think heinous thoughts because of it.

The thoughts, after all, aren't about the choker. They're about seeing women as objects instead of people. You can't stop someone objectifying you, but what you can do is try your best to get them to see you as a human being, who has thoughts, feelings, beliefs and contributions that go far beyond what you wear around your neck.

I'm fucking my 16 year old cousin ever since last year at a family wedding.
