I have worn them occasionally and was just wondering other people's opinions on them and if they're a generally liked thing or the opposite. I had a guy tell me before it's also a "slutty" thing to wear, is that generally true?
bad! someone could choke on it. i could just leave it their and leave the comment to have a funny vibe, but no. if someone were to choke on it, chances are that before that, they wouldn't be thinking much about that possibility, or even what would happen if death were to be the end result. the King James Bible (God's holy, ordained word for the English speaking world) says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and that no one would be justified in the sight of God by their works because there is not a just man upon earth that doeth good and sinneth not (Psalm 143:2 and Ecclesiastes 7:20). if you think to say "i'm a good person, i have never done X, X, or X" that would mean you're counting on your own righteousness. but God's blood was shed for sinners (Acts 20:28 and 1Timothy 1:15), and if you think (as a professing Christian or otherwise) that your good works will do you good for salvation, then you're ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish your own righteousness (Romans 10:3). true Christianity is NOT what the world sees it as. you DON'T go to a (pagan) building called a church (which is condemned in scripture, and proof that they are pagan Acts 19:37 which we see that the godess diana of the Ephesians were worshiping an idol in a building called "church", but of course you will not see that in the modern bibles because they change them to temple because then they can go to these churches and not be condemned by the scriptures for what they are doing), you DON'T give up 10% of your income so that they may sustain that dead building, you DON'T wear a Sunday best (and actually that is also condemned in James 2:1-3). you ask then, why are these unbiblical, unChristian things going on in professing Christianity? Matthew 15 is your answer. pharicees, hypocrites (Matthew 23). adding traditions of men and thereby, overthrowing the commandments of God. the roman catholic whore of babylon (Revelation 17 and 18) is the worst of them all for that (being the lineage of anciant babylon and all). if you think you're a Christian, examine yourself if ye be in the faith (2Corinthians 13:5), God the Father himself said that many are headed to destruction and few find life (Matthew 7:13-14)

I think chokers can be extremely elegant. They do well at accentuating a slender, graceful neck.
And there are so many styles to chose from, depending on the look you are shooting for. They can be classy and super feminine. I'm picturing Audrey Hepburn. Silk or velvet gos perfectly with a low-cut formal dress. A silver, gold or jeweled brooch can even be incorporated. Diamond chokers are fashionable with shimmery evening wear.
The ones that are made out of knotted fishing line look good, too, in more casual settings. And then there are chokers that look like bondage attire, including those made out of black leather with studs.
Either way, they can be a tasty accessory.
A girl is not a slut because she wears a choker. It’s a form of fashion and I think they look great. Personally, I’m in a BDSM relationship and I have my girlfriend wear a choker constantly as a sign of her submission to me. Therefore a choker can be a sexual accessory, but more commonly I like them used as fashion accessories for completing an outfit. They go great with any black top, whether it’s a shirt or a dress, or even to compliment a black bottom. I choose to wear them for parties where I want to look especially hot
I rarely see any girl wearing chokers around me. I wear them all the time though. Seriously love them. I think they can fit with any outfit and can make me look either alternative or hot.
And I honestly don't care what other people think of them lol I think it looks amazing on me. And you shouldn't care either. If you like it on yourself, keep wearing it. It isn't harming anyone :)

While I'm not a fan of chokers (for myself) I don't like things tightly on my neck. But I definitely don't think they're slutty. I say be yourself! If it's something you like and you think looks good on you, go for it! Sounds like the guy that made that comment to you was butt hurt...
Chokers are back and they are fucking sexy. it seems like they were out of style for a while but I have seen them in a lot of model and celebrity photoshoots lately and they just look great. Especially the black chokers that are slightly wide like a ribbon. If I go out with a chick and she's wearing a choker then it's pretty much came over. I will be putty in her hands and all of my baby making skills will be hers for the taking.

If you analyzed and policed everything you did in terms of the messages they might send to certain people, you'd go crazy. It simply isn't your responsibility, and there's no way you can even pretend to control how you're perceived.
You shouldn't stop wearing a choker, even if the men you encounter think heinous thoughts because of it.
The thoughts, after all, aren't about the choker. They're about seeing women as objects instead of people. You can't stop someone objectifying you, but what you can do is try your best to get them to see you as a human being, who has thoughts, feelings, beliefs and contributions that go far beyond what you wear around your neck. -

I'd agree to some extent that chokers are seen as slutty, HOWEVER, that is not inherently a bad thing. I like chokers, I think they are attractive and yes I think they add a touch of promiscuity to them, but they are by no means a bad thing.

they can be slutty. i find them very attractive as they accentuate the neck. but they are not always slutty. they can be quite classy too. it all depends i think on how much theyre picturing you wearing in theyre heads at the time :) .. something of a mental projection going on there. but given the neck is an erogenous zone maybe thats the point ;)
Love them. In my head they are a signal that you're "owned". I have had a guy I know tell me that chokers mean the girl likes to give oral. To myself I responded if so then that's the truth. Hahaha. But of course logically speaking that would not be true for all persons who wear chokers.
They do nothing for me visually, I don't really care about them.

I'm fucking my 16 year old cousin ever since last year at a family wedding. Her brother got wasted half way through it and we carried him up to his room and she followed me to my room to use my bathroom. I was changing my shirt, when she came out of the bathroom she was naked. I asked her what the fuck and she just said that she knew I wanted her from the way I was looking at her all night. Truthfully I had, she had blossomed over the summer into a woman, like out of nowhere she suddenly had large breasts. I couldn't resist her or that tight little body. She thinks it can work out and maybe get married one day but I know that soon it will all come crashing down when everyone finds out.
