This is my first time using this site and I want to know what people think about girls that wear chokers. Personally I really like them and have worn them for like 3 years or so now (not everyday but often) But like yesterday a guy told me I look slutty wearing the choker and I dont want to wear them if a bunch of guys are going to think I'm a slut :( I always just loved how they look. I guess I can understand when they talk about collars but like it's 2 different things. I'll put some pictures of styles that I think are pretty.

After think about the question for a bit I think I'll be okay with whatever happens, I'm going to keep wearing them because I like them. People can think what they want but idc anymore 🤷♀️ Also some of you need to learn to be nicer like some of you are literally treating me like a dog.
I like them on women, I think they look good and a bit sexy. There is the connotation, as you are seeing from other answers, of sexuality. Where that comes from, who knows, but it's part of our culture now.
I had a girlfriend, who enjoyed being my sub in a Dom/sub relationship, and I bought her a choker with a cameo that looked like this:

Personally, I don't much care to wear jewelry as it snags on things, bounces around, gets dirty, has to be taken on and off, and is just that much more complicated than not wearing jewelry. The longer (bear claw) was adjustable, and when I didn't have the smaller one in the photo, I would tighten it up more so that it was even tighter than the smaller one in the photo:

There's a somewhat odd cultural association with them now as ascribing girls who wear them as being slutty.

I love them and wore them like 5 years ago when they just started becoming popular. I was having nostalgia to the 90s and 2000s era so at first I had the basic plastic black or white ones. Then I saw stores had other options and I wore others.
At first I stood out and some guys thought I was into S&M which I never would have thought equated to that. I stopped wearing them for a while until chokers were so mainstream. I don't wear them anymore though since it's not really my style anymore. I still think they're cute or vintage looking.
Maybe if you stuck with delicate chains or pearls instead of the flat, black ones that look like tats, it wouldn't be viewed (not judging here) as being slutty or goth.

There nothing wrong with choker necklaces at all. There are endless choices of design. Some look really elegant and feminine. They look particularly good on a woman with a graceful neck.

Well, high heels can be VERY, VERY sexual but a woman isn't considered a slut just because she's wearing them. It takes her behavior or overall look to do that. Same with a choker, I'd say. I wouldn't worry about it so much as long as you don't wear a huge dog collar.
I used to wear the bracelet type choker during my uni years.. Its uncommon in my place and culture. People would stare questionly here. I know in other country it carry sensual or sexual meaning but I don't care. Now I took it off because I dont think it fit me because I am matured woman and no longer being a student. The 2nd one with the white is really really beautiful. Chokers are okay and not slutty at all. My only negative about them is that I feel like they're out of style, especially the ones like the first picture. Yeah a lot of people are telling me that they were really popular in like late 90s. The white one is really pretty and I love the lace style, but I also like it because black contrasts better with my skin.

Collars are fine for night-wear. I think they're not appropriate to wear around kids. In my mind it's sexually suggestive and I don't think kids need to see that.

I have a full, oval face and not a long neck and the choker provides the visual relief and brings out the colors in my eyes while brightening my face overall. It depends really, some are adjustable, some are elastic, some have to fit perfect. Some of the ones I have maybe feel slightly tight but it doesn't bother me. Also like some are comfortable, I don't know how to explain why but i like the feel of them
