What does it mean when a guy makes silly faces at you?

We're in middle school. Ok, so me and my guy friend was sitting at a desk together and working on this poster board in class. Then I had made him laugh and he started laughing then he stopped and smirked and said playfully "You play too much Ashely" then I just laughed. Then he started making silly faces at me and I was laughing and while I was laughing he just stood there smiling at me. Also, sometimes when I call his name he makes this funny face at me. I'm not making this a big deal I just want to know. So, what does it mean when a guy makes silly faces at you?

I have the sameness issue. I’m in 8th grade and my crush sits behind me in language arts for assigned seats. When I call his name he always gets very close to me and makes a funny face. The first time he did this made me laugh so now he’s doing it more often.
