Guys, Do guys like it when a girl smiles at them?

Well i only see that stuff in anime and movies where the girl smiles with her whole heart at the guy and he starts to blush and look away etc. I just wanted to try that out but only out of fun! So there was a guy in my class we didn't talk much with each other tho and he fixed my phone for me once and i gave him my biggest smile and said thank you and he just stared at me expressionless and didn't say anything, i thought i over did it with my smile lol 😂 but the next days he kept staring, started to tease me for the first time and kept teasing and play fighting with me since then and i started to believe in this nonsense? Do you guys like it? Or is it just a normal thing lol sorry for this weird question tho

It happens IRL. I think it doesn't affect women in the same way, because they are less physically oriented. They have to know the guy, most often, before they get all googly eyed. Usually. But, for a guy, if she's attractive and smiles at him, dependent upon how attracted he is to her, it'll have an effect. But I wouldn't say you necessarily made him romantically interested in you, or that it would make guys romantically interested.

Smiling at someone, no matter how big, isn't obviously romantic or sexual, just friendly. It is *inviting*, though. I don't know if I'd say guys "like" it. I don't think I would frame it that way. Simply that it gives them an opening to engage.

Sometimes it doesn't even have to be a smile, just a look. I've had a couple of those instances, where I meet this complete stranger girl, we're sitting/standing across from each other, then we meet eyes and there's just electricity there between both of us. You know how people say "we had chemistry"? Apparently that's actually a thing. Some science jargon that I have already forgotten. All I remember is that it is due to chemistry. So, I figure, maybe it's also due to electricity. It really does feel like some kind of electromagnetic pull, on some level. But yeah. It doesn't even have to be a smile, just a look.

But. At the same time, the Japanese are very shy. That's true in most Asian countries, I think. If you're not from an Asian country, then the guys aren't going to get nosebleeds over cleavage or blush and look away like that.

Just don't test that thing in anime, where the guy accidentally slips and falls--to no fault of his own--then gets beaten to a pulp by the girl, even if it was her fault. -.-; Or when the girl leaves the bathroom door unlocked, then the guy just stumbles in, and accidentally sees her. -.-;; That trope is way too common in anime, I swear.

Sure why not? It generally shows as interest. Too many girls nowadays don't even want to look at a guy for fear of showing or misleading a guy into being interested. A smile can spark a conversation to see if there's true interest or not.

Yes, if a girl smiles at me I will feel more important for her than if she don't and most are more beautiful while they are smiling.
