887 opinions shared on Flirting topic. Yes it is true! When I was a kid I was so ugly, even the dog wouldn't play with me. When I turned 11, my father (who's a great guitar playing, and also unbelievably attractive) bought me an acousitic guitar and taught me four chords. I began playing simple folk songs, and then noticed to my amazement that my nose had become more symetrical. My dad eventually showed me many more chords, and taught me to fingerpick as well. I dutifully mastered the entire Beatles catalogue over the next 12 months, and noticed uncredulously that my eyes had taken on a deep blue hue, and my jaw had become ruggedly set. Finally, my father bought me an electric guitar and schooled me thoroughly in the finer points of progressive rock and jazz. By the time I started shredding with the likes of Carlos Santana and Steve Morse, I noticed my body had become firmly toned (ripped even), and my entire visage had risen to an ethereal level. From that point on, women have continuously accosted me in public places, and I'm unable to look in the mirror for fear of molesting myself. So there you have it. Practice, Practice, Practice!

HAHAHAHHA
so, guitars lead to nursing homes in the end! :P
for me personally, if I got bored with all the pleasures of life I'll just get in my favorite pair of jeans and hop in a chevy truck and preserve a fine tuned acoustic guitar for the sunsets... the bears are going to be my friends then, I can feed them fish.
Asker+1 ySo wait... playing guitar actually changed your appearance, I need some of that mojo
Asker+1 yI might not believe I'm good, but I'm told otherwise lol

+1 yI think it also depends on the GIRL.
Some girls told me they love my playing, despite making some mistakes. I think these girls, even the ones that saw me just as a friend with no intention of anything more, had a higher esteem for me after I played. There was another girl who is much more of a perfectionist, and very fussy / hard to please, and all she could hear was the mistakes I made.
Music provides a sense of emotional fulfilment, and it might not make someone fall in love with you, but I'm sure it will raise your reputation with them.00 Reply
In my opinion, especially since I'm a music lover, playing guitar makes guys more attractive. If you mix a good heart and a romantic guitar player (in my opinion) you would be almost irresistible (...in my opinion).
Guitars are seriously like a sexy accessory.
For girls in general, if you are downright ugly(personality and looks) with and without the guitar, they may not be as attracted to you as you think they would. Some girls don't even care about guitars and may not appreciate [guitar] music and would not be affected by the sexy accessory. Girls also just are not affected by guitars. Some girls expect, when they see you with a guitar, for a majority of the girls to give you all their attention. They may try to avoid you because of that (yep, it happens). And other girls (like myself) think guitars will always make a guy more attractive. If that's the case, though, then be careful. The girl may only be in it for your guitar.

I choose C but that was because of my age and my personal interests, I have different point of view about who is attractive, and it is only if I know him.
However, for the age you have and the life with which you are dealing (junior high or high school), it depends of the person. There are many factors then to say if he is cool:
1. He was attractive or fairly attractive since the beginning.
2. A nice and cool personallity.
3. How he takes and/or stands with the guitar.
4. Can play at least a few song fairly well.01 Reply

+1 yThe theory of why guitars make you more attractive is because it draws your eye to their hips. A guitarist typically moves his hips, and his hands, to play the guitar (at least on stage) and that is very sexual. It's like a subliminal sexy message to watch a guitarist play enthusiastically, especially if he's good at it and moves around a lot.

+1 yIt also depends on how good he is at the guitar. I personally don't find a guy any more attractive if he can play the guitar badly.
It depends on the guy and his personality and looks as well, I think.01 Reply

I think guitars are sexy, purely aesthetic. It's not really the instrument that draws women, it's the talent that is attractive. And add an already attractive guy into the mix and you have a winning formula.

personally, I love guys who play the guitar.
idk its sorta a romantic instrument, especially if he plays you a song x) it makes girls feel sorta speacial haha. so yeah, I think that it makes a guy more attractive02 Reply
Asker+1 yI write songs :)
+1 yPersonally I think its definitely a turn on. If a guy can play you a nice song(preferably acoustic) it makes you feel special( or maybe just me); especially if he plays it well(:
So yes, I think it makes guys more atractive.01 Reply

+1 yI think it depends more on the girl, if she's into musicians and all that stuff.
To me, it does make the guy more attractive, that there's something more to him.
But hands down guys playing pianos are most attractive. Haha.03 Reply
Asker+1 yHaha, nice, I started off playing piano and then I learned guitar lol

Of course you should stick to what your passionate about but if it's for getting girls, you should start playing the piano again. Hahaha.
Asker+1 yOh I could never stop playing the piano, I just picked up guitar too, in a band currently where I play both and sing
Nope. It's a myth. I play and nobody gives a sh*t. Then again, whenever this dude in my English class brings and plays his guitar all the girls want to take a ride on his d*ck, so maybe there's just something wrong with me.

Depends what genre you play the girls
Asker+1 yAh SilentG you are mistaken, music never goes in or out of style, just because you or your friends don't listen doesn't mean a large number of people love it, I for one love all music
If you are a great player, then it kinda does. For me if a guy plays a song for me, I find that as a turn on, esp if you make the song your own, as in change it up and add your uniqueness to it.

Sometimes. Depends on the girl and how good you are and how many people know you actually play. Then again, a lot of people play the guitar so.
