Girls - Have you ever been in a fight?

Question

I mean fistfight. My sister was in a fight at school with some "tough"chick who was a few years older than her. (I think she did pretty good by the way)

I have never been in a fight and wouldn't know what to do and none of my female friends have been in a fight.

i have been in a couple fights. I went to school with some rough ass girls (and boys), fighting was one of those things you eventually had to do at one time or another. I used to be quiet and shy so that caused people to think I was a punk but as soon as I put these hands on them they realized I'm not one to play with, just because I'm quiet and nice don't mean I will get beat up.

my dad took me in the backyard and taught me how to fight after this boy pushed me on the playground and I went home crying.

if you have never been in a fight you should practice. yes, I said practice. defending yourself is a survival skill all women should know. what if someone attacks you one day? what are you gonna do? at least knowing how to fight will give you more of a chance?

dont be like the girl stereotype and pull hair and rip clothes, that doesn't do anything. you need to fight with your fists and throw 'bows (elbows). think about how a boxer or an mma fighter would fight. you wanna protect your face so take a stance where you are sort of leaning back and try to keep your hands up so you are protecting your face. be quick on your feet and watch for what the other person is gonna do. be very confident, part of fighting is being brave and not showing any fear. you don't wanna underestimate the person you are about to beat, but at the same time you don't wanna psyche yourself out and get beat up because your mindset was negative. think about how tough you are and how you're about to whoop that bitch's ass. if you need to, get in the zone and let your aggressions out, think of all the things in life that ever made you angry and furious and pummel her face into submission.

when your adrenaline kicks in you won't really get hurt that much anyway. I have been punched all in my face before and it felt like a little kid was hitting me because I was so in the zone.

some people say that fighting is always wrong and you should always walk away but lets be real, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I've only gotten in a physical confrontation with a girl once in my life, in college.

I was prepared only because in High school my stepdad taught me some basic "Krav Maga", which is the same martial art they teach to the Israeli special forces (basically, it's how to defend yourself against everything...from knives, to guns, to...well anything really. It teaches you that anything and everything is a weapon and sort of drives this "Kill or Be Killed" mentality into your brain) and my ex-boss was a former professional boxer (who taught me a few things).

I got majorly f***ed up, but...she...well, I put her out. Basically in hand to hand combat she kicked my ass, but I put her in a choke hold and basically...blacked her out before throwing her head first into a bathroom door.

Sad part, I don't even recall what the fight was about.

I try to avoid physical confrontation with other women, men on the other hand...I have guy friends for that sort of thing--unless the guy in question wants a pencil or whatever is on hand in his jugular.

fighting is all about psyching yourself up. you can't be timid, you can't be doubtful, and you can't lose your cool. You have to have the mentality that you can feel no pain. And you have to be willing to do anything to win. Also, never in the course of the fight can you give up even for one second.

If you fear getting hurt at all, you can't be a good fighter. If you are mentally prepared to accept any injury, it will be very difficult to stop you physically because you'll be no holds barred. You have to focus 400% on winning, and you can't think about the other person emotionally. Anger will not really help you. All you must think is "win or die trying".

You must also believe that you are going to win and that you will not allow the other person to get any advantage.

However, you must also be prepared to accept any legal consequences the fighting might have. And whatever escalation of the conflict it may cause.

But I do advocate standing up for yourself and your sister because bullies need to be brought down.

I never did but during a party my freshman year some seniors brought a bunch of beer and my mom rushed home from her bartending night job.

One of the seniors got mouthy and tried to take it back! My mom and her had a nasty argument and soon enough my mom said "If you were older I would kick your ass" that is when the chick announced she was eighteen!

My mom did not believe her until she pulled out her ID card! My mom gave her a haymaker instantly! The chick did not drop though and soon enough they were duking it out in the dining area!

Everyone was chugging the beer down as fast as possible and watching the fight! They ended up crashing over the table and rolling on the floor. After about five minutes my mom gave her a good one and got on top of her! She gave that lady a good ground and pound and left her knocked out! My mom grabbed her feet and drug her out the house!

When my dad came home and saw the house he asked who won. My mom tossed a knot of blonde hair at him. He just laughed!

I guess that was not her first rodeo. All the kids at school called my mom "clubber mom" after that. I never got picked on! I saw the chick in the hall a few weeks later and she still had a yellow mark under her eye! My mom really let her have it! It was a good fight though, I was proud of my mommy!

Sometimes fighting is unavoidable... I've been in multiple situations in which I've been jumped by multiple assailants, robbed, ect. and all of them were unavoidable situations in which I HAD to fight.

But... From my experiences people who initially solve problems with fighting and violence are generally young and/or haven't been in a REAL fight.

I'm not saying that there is something wrong with defending yourself (because there isn't)... but there's a time and a place for it.

If given the chance I will ALWAYS back down from a street fight (and I'm pretty built).

Not even because I'm scared of getting hurt... What if I went overboard and SERIOUSLY injured another man?

(sidenote: I have a friend who was paralyzed in a bar fight)

A real man that's mature and confident will always back down from a fight if given the chance... "Pissing down the deck with testosterone" is a practice that's undergone by immature boys and juiced up Jersey Shore looking Guidos that can't come out of the closet.

My advice for you:

Unless you or one of your friends lives is on the line... just back down...

A shot to your ego is A LOT less painful than some of the injuries you can get.

Yea, a boy at school shoved me into the coat closet at school and was touching me where he shouldn't be touching me. I kneed him in is groan and he fell into the chair at that point I was so angry, I pulled the chair from underneath him and hit him with it. By the time I lifted the chair again my teacher pulled me away. I was kicking and screaming and crying. My teacher felt so badly he told my parents what happen, and that he was actually proud that I defended myself, but it wasn't to leave the room. The boy got suspended from school, and all I had to do was apologize for hitting him with the chair because once he was off of me I should've got the teacher.

Twice and it was the same girl. It was last year and this girl kept spreading rumors about me so  I confronted her one thing led to another she punched me in the eye I punched her in the noise. It all went so fast I can't remember what happen next but the teachers were pulling us apart I got 2 day oss and her a week  because she started it. It basically went down like that the second time but I was walking down the street I didn't even see her till she was on top of me punching... Honestly when fighting, I don't really think of what I'm going to do I just do it.

I'm always scared before I fight anyone mostly because there always is that what if no matter how big they are but that fear always made me fight ten times harder. I find that yes strength is a factor but so is your speed if your smaller then the person.

Just don't think about what your gonna do because it never happens that way..

I've been in five fist fights. Never lost once. Never took the first punch. I've fought bigger girls, and I've fought smaller girls than me. It really doesn't matter on size, if you know how to fight, you can win, whether the girl is bigger or not.
