every time I do my hair in braids or pig tails a get a lot of comments about them

I'm not sure why, but there is a connection between having pig tails or dual braids and being "sweet and innocent" which is considered to be very attractive.

Unfortunately "sweet and innocent" is a euphemism for childishness. Certainly that Britney spears video is the ultimate example of the childish yet sexy girl. I don't think I need feminist theory to explain why expecting women to act like little kids is a bad thing.

I'm not sure but when I see a 52 year old woman sporting hair (real, not extensions) down to the middle of her ass, I think it's possible. Her hair length attracts a lot of attention from guys.
