Why do guys wear boxers under swim trunks?

I've been curious, I asked my fiance and he says I'm crazy, but I swear, I see men do it all the time! Am I wrong?

I just learned not too long ago that guys will wear shorts under their shorts for several reasons. sometimes it's just for the comfort of more support, sometimes it's a just in case thing, sometimes it's to put some more cloth between them and the outer layer of shorts(I had one guy tell me that the feel of nylon shorts against his junk while running gives him an erection---who knew! lol) sometimes it's to hold down the bulge if they are large.

You can totally see the package through the thin swimming trunks pretty easily. I worked at a pool.

a lot of guys are really consious about their bodys because of being teased when young if they have a bulge or out line of their penis, so please stop teasing and just look all you want , I think guys are just shy of showin believe it or not, Iam Not and don't mind if you look cause iam checkin you out too

I'm not sure if everyone does this. I've seen and heard of the practice of wearing speedos underneath board shorts.

Guys who wear speedos underneath are (well for one, insecure about themselves) wanting the comfort afforded to them by the compression nature of speedos. I'm a guy and I don't know why one would wear a shorts to swim (so much drag) and to tan (ugly lines). So, you and I are at a loss and still confused.

You're not crazy, it happens. I don't know why people do it though. It seems like the most uncomfortable thing to me. Sorry second most uncomfortable thing, the worst is those stupid liners that are like a pair of mesh tighty whiteys.

I don't know about all of the time, but I have seen some guys do it before. Why? I'm not sure and I've never asked...I imagine it would be uncomfortable.

Some swim trunks have like a liner thing on the inside, but others don't. It would be weird to just go freeballing like that, especially if you're wearing white/semi-see-through.

swimming shorts are generally baggy. I often wear boxers underneath because I do not trust the inner lining to prevent any accidental slips!

I've seen this and thought the same question
