What does it mean when a guy says that he feels safe with you?

Yesterday when i was with this guy i ¿like? and we were cuddling and making out he started to smile and giggle. I asked him what he was thinking about and he started to kind of stutter/ didn’t find words and then told me that he feels safe when he’s with me. Was he speaking the truth or is this some player thing?
