Girls, Something I thought of is it good?

For example if a girls name is named after a food or something you like. Like if she said "My name is Rose". Will it be weird if you say ""Well I hope I like you as much as I like roses". If that makes any sense.

This is probably something that will annoy her more than anything else because you would not be the first one to come up with something as corny as that.

After a while, such reaction could cause the girl to start hating her name and having a very negative reaction when someone mentions her name and whatever association that comes along with it.

If I had such a name, I would ensure that only my family and best friends are aware of it and I would give a different name to acquaintances and other buddies. It is something that would bother me to no end.
