Does my crush like me or is it just me?

I met my crush at work. We’ve gotten closer and closer. Almost like we already knew each other. With everyone he’s silly, me too but he’s a little more nervous and serious around me. I’m the only one he’s bought a birthday gift for at work and the other co workers who worked with him there longer have expressed jealousy. He planned this whole birthday secret for me. Lunch, a cake, and a gift. So cute. He told my I was special and very rare to come across. This girl who likes him told me he was talking bad about me and pretty much trying to cause a rift and when I told him he was so mad. He was like why is she trying to come between someone I care about. So one of the workers asked me randomly how long I’ve known him, and it was such an odd question. We had to pick names for secret Santa and when he picked a name he was so excited. People wanted to switch but he held onto that name so tight. You know what everyone said. “It’s you”. Lol maybe people are seeing what I’m trying to be in denial of. It’s like we just click. He looks at all my stories faithfully no matter how spaced out they are. He’s the first one looking. And he’ll say I was going to text you but…. Like he’s nervous or something. I’m nervous myself and don’t know how to initiate
