Girls: Would you rather a guy compliment your body or face?

Obviously I would rather a guy say I have a pretty face than a hot body because anyone can have a hot body if they try but a pretty face is special.

So when a guy tells you that you're hot and have a great body and leaves out complimenting your face how do you feel? It makes me feel ugly and gross. Some girls might love being complimented on their bodies but I don't see why you would? You're basically being looked down upon as a sex object and you're just average who wants to be average? So girls my question here is would you rather be liked and complimented on for your face or do you think "oh as long as I'm attractive to a guy in some way I don't care if he thinks my face is ugly/average."

I always give compliments on both as and when they come. They come naturally - I mean, I don't sit and plan them. And at some point the right time will occur and I'll have noticed something particular, or she'll be voicing what in particular she feels bad about, and its onnnn.There's no thought process, you dig? And that goes for compliments on anything - their ability to care for small animals, their chosen artform, their political stance, whatever.There's a time for it.

But I do get what your saying, but I don't see it as the fault of body compliments, which I see as great, but the fault of people who doing it wrong. As in, its not the compliments that objectify you but the people who objectify you - ergo, don't shoot the fukken messenger, ey?

Personally I like either lots. But I do prefer facial compliments becaaauuuussseeeee I have the same thing every other girl has where I hate my body, so compliments on it are just water ovva ducks backkk. But I like the way I look collar bone up. But I take whatever I get, hey. I find most compliments I get are general though - they cover both, and more. Which is very cool. Like, the terms 'Hot' and 'Sexy' extend through the face and body, unlike 'pretty' and lah-de-dah which are only in the face unless explicitly stated otherwise. So, hey...

Be lucky you like your face, I always liked mine too until some guy said it was average. Then a few other people. New haircut, different makeup, lah-de-dah, there's a whole myraid of motifs and suggestions that influence the appearance of your face, and as you follow them your face changes, as it always does, into a way you'd much rather it. You know? You affect your body.

And oh, well... No, that's hard, I know. Just, if you can get it to a situation where you don't care about their opinion, then do.

Well my friends is always being called Cute like 99% of the time when she is complimented,so being called sexy,hot or anything else that has to do with body she gets really happy.She also tells pretty much everyone she knows that someone said a certain part of her body is sexy or hot,so not everyone is the same.The same way you really want people complimenting your face more or both at the same time my friend dislikes being called cute all the time.I think it's one of the reasons why some girls make user names like "Sexybaby13" or something like that so that they can have more people validate them on there sexiness,because little to noting is saying anything about it.

Hopefully you meet more guys that can validate your looks a bit more.

Me and my other friends think she is cute,but we hardly tell her this for obvious reasons.The ones that do are just guys trying to pick her up that normally tell her.Also it's not that she get's pick up all the time or complimented all the time it's just when she does a lot of the time they say she is cute.Just understand the same way there are people like you that want guys to comment on your face there are people the opposite of you.She is insecure about her body pretty much.

She is has a slim body shape,B-cup and I don't think there is anything really wrong with her body.I know some girls out of there way at times by wearing sexier cloths to get guys to comment on there body more.Also some dress sexier just because they think can't get someone unless they do that,but that is another story. There are different types and the only example I can think of off the top of my head is selena gomez.My friend doesn't look like her at all.She is 22,but looks 19.I use the term "baby face",because she looks younger then she really is and is cute.

I'm so much more insecure about my body than about my face. I've heard that I have pretty features a lot. So if my guy complimented me more on my body and made me feel sexy, I'd be much happier and confident. It would mean a great deal more to me, because I lack confidence in that aspect. Of course, there should be a balance. There's also a time for everything. If things are getting hot and heavy, I wanna feel sexy.

Either way, it all depends on the guy. If I trust him, the fact that he finds me hot has nothing to do with him using me.

Im just insecure about myself in general. but wouldn't you think it would make me happy to have my body commented on? I've been called fat my whole life and when a guy says its hot it pisses me. That and I don't want to be used for something that isn't unique at all. while a pretty face is unique.

I don't see how a guy complementing your body instead of your face makes you feel like more of a sex object. They're both physical traits. And where the hell are you getting the "You're just average" thing from when a guy compliments your body? Also the "oh as long as I'm attractive to a guy in some way I don't care if he thinks my face is ugly/average." bit goes both ways. You could say "oh as long as I'm attractive to a guy in some way I don't care if he thinks I'm fat". Our hormones are telling is "hey, mate with her" when we see a pretty face just as much as when we see a nice body.

Your question seems extremely biased.

Personally, a pretty face is something your born with. You just get lucky. A girl who's in really good shape? Not only as physically attractive as the face, but it says something about their character.

because the only reason for a visually appealing body is sex. in a relationship you would want a pretty/handsome face to look at. When a guy says something about your body he probably just wants sex (if the two aren't in a relationship, than I would understand.) but if guys only compliment on your body wouldn't a girl feel ugly in the face? I would. and I wouldn't care if a guy thought I was fat as long as he thought my face was pretty.

and also, just because a girl is thin does not mean she is healthy she could just have a fast metabolism. She could be sitting on her couch all day eating shish kabobs while watching family guy and not gain a pound. Some people put on weight when they go through depression (like me) and once gained, its very hard to lose.

I disagree. You say the only reason for an appealing body is sex. I'm going to and face getting downvoted to oblivion, but it's very unlikely I would date a girl who's not in shape. If you don't take care of yourself I don't see myself being happy in the relationship. That being said, I'd have a one-night-stand with a girl who's not in shape. So there you have it: Average face + in shape = relationship. Same face + out of shape = sex only.

I workout. So When people say...wow your in good shape..I feel like working out is worth it.

Most guys could never date a girl with a beat face and since that's what he stares at when he first sees you and then again on dates, I assume he finds my face pleasant to look at. In all honesty, any form of a compliment from a guy should make you feel nice. Guys don't just go around throwing out compliments like they're free.

Yes, I'd rather be complimented on my face but if a guy says I've got a nice ass, I'd still be flattered. Its better if it's someone I'm closer to.
