What to gift a guy that helped me out with something important that would make him happy?

I have a coworker that I like, we flirt sometimes but he never asked me out or initiated anything except onetime he held my wrist for a while when he was showing me something on his phone (I don't understand why he did that). Well lately I asked him for an urgent favor and he didn't hesitate and I was thinking of doing something nice to thank him like inviting him to lunch or dinner or is that too much? Maybe a box of chocolate? Any suggestions? Also what can I do to make things evolve between us?
