What does it mean when a man calls you “Little girl”?

I was talking about being into arts ever since I was young and he said

“What an artistic little girl ❤️”

Being an older sister to a brother, who has quite well got used to in the role of being a “Big sister”, kind of felt weird to be called that.

It sounds like it may have just been a reply to your talk about being artistic when you were little. There's probably nothing more to it than that.

I doubt if he was using "little girl" to describe you now, either condescendingly or as a term of affection.

Guys do sometimes use diminutive terms of affection like "baby" or, I suppose, "little girl" because, compared to men, women are cute and usually smaller. But it doesn't sound like that is what this guy was doing.

It could mean a few things. It could be condescending, like talking down to you. It could also be to patronize you. It could be that he was just trying to be cute, flirtatious.
