On Friday a guy from another office was at my office (this is every 3-5 weeks when he’s visiting family). He was teasing me about my accent being posh (it’s not posh, but where he’s from my accent is considered more posh than his). He was making some jokes about how I pronounced certain words. He’s been coming to the office for several months and it’s the first time he’s done this. Basically quite a lot of the interactions we had last week I felt like he was lightly teasing. And, even though he’s part of a different department, he’s always sat at the desk next to mine every time he visits.
The thing is - he’s attractive, smart, funny, successful, and in his early 40s. In my eyes he’s very eligible, so I don’t get why he’s single (I’m 99.5% sure he is). Maybe he’s gay 🤷🏼♀️ or maybe he is actually interested 😬

I can only judge this from a distance. It sounds to me like he at least feels comfortable in your office. He also seems to flirt a little. It's hard to say whether he's just doing it out of boredom or whether he's perhaps interested in you. If you're interested, you should respond to his approach. Who knows? Maybe it will work.
Is there any reason for you to think he could be gay, other than the fact that he's very eligible but still single in his early 40s?
Not really, he’s not camp (I’m aware many gay men aren’t) just that he’s very eligible and single.
I'm his age and I'm single.
Well, same haha. It’s just less normal for a very eligible guy to be single at that age
