Just wondering everybody is it true that if you think someone is out of your league you won't even bother talking to them?!
Like for example I find some girls really attractive but then they're like smoking hot, so I don't even bother cause I think they're outta my league, and most likely will get turned down.
But the thing that frustrates me is am I in the outta league zone too?! I've been working on the rigs for the past 6 years (no girls), and just recently decided to come back to civilization. It's been almost a year now and there has been no girls that seem to want to talk to me, they all seem to be shy?! Like they look at me and then they glance away. So far in the year I've only had 2 girls talk to me and say they like me... but I was hoping to be friends with girls... The only girl friends I have right now are the two of them which like me.
I'm a pretty outgoing person when I'm out there... Do you guys think that I might be outta their league too but just don't realize it?!
I mean, I'm getting kinda frustrated with girls. I'm only friends with girls that like me... is it possible to be just friends with girls that have no feelings etc???

It's true that if we find someone 'out of our league' we won't approach them. Who knows, maybe they'd give us a shot but the dating game is so complicated, especially for girls because it's harder on us. Guys can use the excuse that they are the man so they can come up to us whereas if we approach a guy we feel like we might be coming off as easy or the guy will reject us or whatever.
Honestly, use the fact that you are a GUY to your advantage and don't wait around for the girls to come to you. It's not likely because we tend to wait for you. If you see someone you like, talk to them, even if they're out of your league. What's the worse that can happen? She says no, thanks? So? On to the next one. You might be surprised when she gives you a chance.
Also you mention that they're 2 girls that like you...do you not like either of them? If you dig one of them try a date and start from there. It might not end up in a relationship but at least you'll have your feet in the water and start dating. STOP waiting for girls to talk to you and go talk to THEM!
Thanks for your insight. I guess I'm pretty picky, and no I don't have feelings for the two girls. Just want to be friends. How come the girls can't come talk to guys?! I hate having the feeling of rejection!! I wouldn't reject but be friends...
I guess it's embbeded in our genes? Or maybe a lot of us have grown up believing that this is how it should be. We're taught it from the beginning so when we grow up it just comes natural for us to wait around and be nervous and shy.
It's a confidence issue. If you think girls are out of your league, you've already screwed yourself. Try to get rid of that mentality, there are a lot of really good looking women out there with average looking guys. Why? Confidence.
Also, you won't have much luck with women if you expect THEM to be the ones to approach you. You're a guy, that's your job.
Some Girls Are Shy And Then There Are Some Who Are Waiting For The Guy To Make The First Move To At Least Be Able To Spark A Conversation. If You Like The Girl Don't Think That They're Out Of Your League Or Vice-Versa, Have The Confidence To Go Over And Introduce Yourself And Make Friendly Conversation So That Way They At least Know Your Interested In Them. You Have More Of A Chance If You Take This Approach Instead Of Thinking The Worst Before The Worst Has Even Arrived. Hope This Helps.
