Why do girls keep asking me what my age is? Is this flirting?

I don't quite get why girls who are talking to me will ask how old I am. They aren't doing it in a weird way, but it seems to come up a lot. I think it is because I have a young looking face, but I am not sure. It just seems to come up a lot, especially when girls are seeming to kind of be flirty with me. What is up with that?
