Do any of you prefer plain janes over attractive women?

Honestly, I am not interested in "attractive" women aka the 9's & 10's. I am attracted to plain janes types of women aka 5's & 6's, and even women who look unconventional (I prefer women who are strong. Not body builder ripped). However, when I'm at my college or out in public, It's not uncommon for me to see "attractive women who just look pissed off all the time. Those women I want nothing to do with, not for their appearance, but rather how they carry themselves. Any other guy feel the same way?

Not all attractive women are angry (although I agree with your statement about them being unapproachable most of the time). I consider myself attractive but at the same time I am down to earth and approachable (usually smiling) but, not every other woman operates like I do, so I can also see how you could feel that pretty women "looked pissed all the time." Don't put everyone in a box, it really depends on their personality more than their looks or rather they feel like their attractiveness gives them the privilege to act as a they please (that still is no excuse for rudeness though). So I do agree with you for the most part, but not ever attractive woman is like that (actually very few lol).

Sort of. Hot guys usually don't do it for me until I find out some of the personality. I also like unconventional guys, so a hot guy who dresses unusually but still looks good might catch my eye.

If the girl looks pissed off all the time, I can see why you'd want nothing to do with her. Just be careful if you do discount a woman because she's attractive-I consider myself a 7 (8 on a good day) and am working to improve my appearance even more because it makes me feel great! I'm definitely not the stereotypical hot woman and would hate to be seen as such on a good day.

The 9's and 10's have options and any guys they date will constantly be reminded of such. It's a fantasy to want a 9 or 10, most men are too insecure to actually handle it.

And that's why I don't pursue women who are ultra beautiful. It's a disaster dating them.

The problem I have had with 9's and 10's are that they try way too hard to look attractive. Most of the time they also don't have a personality to match mine, they aren't willing to get a little dirty because it will ruin their hair, etc... (generalization but true most often than not)

+ like you said a lot of them have options which gives them that annoying complex where they think they are better than others

being insecure is probably the last thing on my mind when I look at them

Great post, I agree.

I also have to give plain Janes their credit. They have pleasant personalities, are overall more outgoing, have more talents and skills, down to earth, etc. Despite the fact that it may be because the average woman has to try harder in order to compensate for their aesthetic short-comings.

Sidenote, in my experience hot girls are usually terrible in bed. They can be trained, but unfortunately the attachment occurs by the time you get them up to par and have to cut it loose

Lucky: Aside from dirty sex, those issues indeed exist with hot girls. In my opinion, dating a 9/10 hottie and dating the hot alpha male are both playing with fire. Temptation is strong, and the humans will to decline it is very weak. It's not to do with insecurities, but more so probabilities.

However, I do concede that a friend of mine is the most stunning girl I've ever seen in person, she's incredibly sweet, kind, and faithful to her man.

yeah I tend to be more attracted towards average women or girls with a baby face over other girls who are considered 9 or 10 by other guys

Ah, I'm not in the US :) But I approach all girls, but only if they give me constant and repeated signals; if I get mixed signals I don't approach. But I've found plain Janes to be a lot more needy than 9s and 10s as they want to jump into a relationship a lot more faster than the others, where they are satisfied with the thought of "Oh, let's see where it goes" like me & regarding "9's and 10's are that they try way too hard to look attractive", I just don't agree at all

You probably know you can't attract a hot woman so you date women who are closer to yourself in terms of attractiveness.

I wouldn't say that I'm a 9 or 10 but I am pretty attractive so maybe I'm closer to a 7.5/8 and I don't walk around smiling all the time. So if I happen to intimidate some random guy, oh well? If you're too intimidated/insecure to approach then that's your loss. 9s and 10s will never hurt for male attention so they'll be fine with out you

Yes, I'm married. My husband however, is not interested in my plain jane attributes. He hasn't hugged or kissed me in 7 years, and hasn't wanted sex with me for over 5 years. Plain Janes need love too! Once our son is completely grown, I'm outta here!
