He's ignoring my Facebook posts, is it cause he's jealous?

This guy friend I have says he's in a relationship with a girl all of a sudden. A week before that I told our best friend that I was dating someone cause our best friend always sets me up on horrible dates and especially with Valentine's Day I knew my guy friend Jake would set me up with someone horrible, lol!

So I said I was dating just so he wouldn't do that. That was a week ago, but my other guy friend has not been contacting me at all, out of nowhere literally 2 days ago he says he's in a relationship with a girl, and I posted pics tonight of me going out for Valentine's day and he didn't comment or put a thumbs up or anything.

He is clearly ignoring my posts cause he's on Facebook and commented on our mutual friends posts etc, within the time and after I posted pics of me going out for Valentine's day. Also he said in his post earlier that his Valentine is a guy I kinda went out with in the past, and he said he was going out with him, but he made it clear to me before he didn't like him, so I don't know what that was all about, and he's not with him, cause my friend said he's not. Like he's clearly ignoring me, and he mentioned a guy I kinda went out with out of nowhere too! He doesn't hang with him either. I am just wondering if guys do this cause they are jealous? Or is it cause he's mad cause I said I was dating someone? And I said I was going out for Valentine's day and that I had a date? What do you think? I just want to know how a guy's mind works. lol! Thank you! What does this sound like to you? Just curious all opinions welcomed cause I find it immature, haha!

I don't think guys generally work like that... I can't even really explain how I do things on Facebook. Generally I'll like random things and comment on a lot of stuff, and other days I can't be bothered so it'll seem like I've just disappeared. It doesn't mean anything though.

Oh yeah, I am still going to ignore him and not contact him. Cause either way he shouldn't be playing games, we are both grown adults, this is middle/high school shit, lol! But thank you commenting! :)

It's hard to tell. Maybe he likes you and is jealous. Maybe he is ignoring you. Maybe not. But clearly, you are ignoring him. I don't think you should call his behavior immature, however, especially when you are bringing the question to a forum rather than asking him. Rather than ignoring him, why don't you "like" something on his FB and comment on it in a way to stimulate conversation. Or just message him and ask if he wants to hang out. If you care this much about him potentially ignoring you, just reach out to him and spend some time with him. It seems like you are jealous because you are not getting his attention.

I don't want to ask him cause that would seem kinda weird on my part, lol! I just wanted to see other peoples opinions and see if guys do these kind of things to girls, or if you ever did something similar to a girl etc. I was curious as to what people would say about this situation. However, what's bad about me is that I am stubborn, and I don't like to contact people, and especially if I feel he is playing games then I feel he should contact me. Thanks for commenting!

Games: It takes two to play most games but if you remove yourself from the game he is playing solitaire. Remember a male ego is a sensitive thing and down right stupid sometimes.

Yes! True! But I don't know if he said he's in a relationship with this girl cause Valenties Day was coming up and he maybe didn't want to seem lonely or alone on V-day? He still isn't contacting me and it has been 2 weeks. His Facebook though still says he's in a relationship with the girl, but yet they are not acting like a couple and he doesn't have pic of her or anything, so the whole thing seems a little odd to me.
