Do pickles belong on a sandwich?

Ahh American English. All kinds of weird terms that mean little outside of America. In the rest of the world pickle is a way of preserving things in vinegar and maybe sugar. Single vegetables or mixes like a chutney.
Here in the UK pickle usually refers to things like Branston and on a cheese and ham sandwiche it is fucking amazing.
I love pickles on some sandwiches.
1. That would be "in" a sandwhich (unless, of course, you mean putting pickles on top of your sandwhich, which is fine I guess).
2. Naturally not all sandwhiches, I'm not a pothead, I wouldn't eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich with pickles.
Pickles belong on just about everything & I’m surprised they don’t put them on pizza.
There is a cheeseburger pizza with pickles out there

No pickles!
They are hideous.
Here in Australia, we do not understand the American fixation on pickled gherkins.
About 99 per cent of people who eat at McDonald's or Burger King pick off the pickles and throw them away.
I don't like sweet pickles, and I don't like dill pickles. But bread & butter pickles are the bee's knees.
Pickles or pickled jalapeños and mustard always whenever I have the option unless it's a tuna sandwich.
It depends on what else is in the sandwich. Beef and ham, why not.
Honey and banana probably not so tasty...
If the person likes pickles on their sandwich they do.
Depends on the sandwich, but yeah. Can accent a sandwich well and give it a little needed crunch.
sliced, unsweet pickles are always sandwich material. You only run into issues when you use sweet or non-sliced shapes.
Depends on the sandwich. If it’s something like a roast beef. Not so sure. But a sandwich with ham and turkey, definitely. The sweet and sourness of a pickle can help bring the flavors together.
absolutely, the pickles add a special flavor to the sandwich
For meat sandwiches are thin slices of pickle an alternative to mustard and other sauces. For cheese I prefer tomatoes or paprika instead of pickles.
I would say just cut the pickle and put it on there like you do Burger
Sure do. A ham sammich with cheese lettuce tomato onion and pickles topped with mayo
I don't like the taste of vinegar or the pickle on sandwiches
maybe sometimes cause i usually take them off and eat them separate lol🥒
pickles belong on hamburgers.. and a Ruben sandwich (and maybe a sandwich from subway)
Were you standing in line for toilet paper when they were giving out brains?
in my opinion no they don't. Obviously you're free to add them if you wish.
On certain sandwiches, like a Cubano, they are awesome!
Depends on where you are what you like! Nope just leave it out or as a side!
