Ooooo this is hard. Because i have so many different kinds i use for specific reasons. I do prefer the sturdiness of metal but having the plastic helps keep my pans from getting scratch so i use these for eggs for example.
If i need to mash without the tool failing on me or anything that requires more strength then i do go full metal.
But if i need to stir or scrape the pan or pot like stews or browning hamburger meat then i go wood.
Plastic is porous and can absorb bacteria and chemicals. As a sous chef I ban them in both a commercial kitchen and from my home. The only plastic in my kitchen is the inside of the fridge and as little of that as possible.
So do you prefer stainless steel or other utensils?
I'm sorry, I thought the answer to that would be obvious. Stainless steel of course.
Stainless all the way! I've accidentally melted some plastic utensils because of putting hot pots directly on them (on accident) and I just got fed up and replaced everything with Stainless steel and wood utensils. They are much better and do a great job, whereas many plastic utensils end up bending, breaking or in my case melting. Haha
Thanks for MHO
Steel but I mostly cook with my wooden spoon. I hate cooking with something that's not my wooden spoon.
I know. Feels like the food is not the same.

I'm gonna joke and say women but women in my house cook shit I make way better food and I always prefer stainless steel or wood, I only own one rubber spatula for scrambling eggs though. I'm the butcher and the cook in my house because I prefer to eat game that I hunted.
Handmade wooden spoons, well-sharpened knives, and well-seasoned cast iron cookware.
A well-sharpened knife makes a lot of difference. I'm with you.
Kitchen tools are just like hand tools they're all with a purpose and you need each one of them it makes the job easier smoother with less mess and better detail
Wood, plastic, or silicone because my mom might telepathically whoop my ass for using metal on metal
What's wrong with using metal on metal?
I use stainless steel, on stainless steel pots and pans. Best pots because of heat distribution.
I use a non-stick pan for only eggs with a silicone utensil.
Totally stainless steel because it's safe to use in oil and will not make food taste like plastic
Wooden. Not scratching anything, environment friendly and really durable.
Both. Depends on the pan/pot finish you're using. They have different uses.
I cook with cast iron. Plastic will melt in it and ruin it. I use steel and bamboo
I like the plastic ones so my pans don't get scratched. I have some silicone ones too.
depends on what i'm cooking and what i'm cooking on. if it's a nonstick skillet that has the nonstick coating then a very hard plastic spatula. if it's soup from a pot then stainless steel scoop. different tools for different things.
We have plastic and wood. We have ceramic coating on our pots and pans, the plastic utensils don't scratch them.
Plastic is heat sensitive and can contaminate your food.
i like the wood stir stick the best i use it for most things
Silicone/rubber since i use nonstick pans. And silicone is safer than plastic
and wood too
My wife has a high quality Garlic Press that I like using when I prepare my twice-a-week chili
wooden as metal stains the flavour of food while cooking
That is what I always used. I think they are easy to clean and no fear of anything melting.
Stainless steel. Because they are the best in terms of health. We use it in wooden products.
Stainless steel because it looks more impressive and probably lasts longer as well
