For me it'll always be a burger. I love burgers. The only way that I'll eat a hot dog is if it's off the grill and semi burnt lol. Homemade burgers are the best.
PS- Now I want a burger!
I mean, Ill eat hot dogs if I have to, like at a barbecue or something, but I rarely ever buy them on my own. There's this one small chain here in Korea though called Yankee Hotdog and they make these fancy, nice designer hot dogs (bacon and eggs, Cajun, three cheese, pizza, etc). They cost about $2 to $4. But that's about it. In the US, I'd only buy a hot dog if it's at 7-Eleven and it's like 3am or something and that's the only thing open.
I don't like all that shit on my hot dogs lol
For a snack I would prefer a hot dog, for a meal a big burger.
I probably had more hot dogs in my life, a lot easier to make as well, so in my family we have it for brunch now and then :D. LOVE IT!
My favourite is a typical Danish with pickled cucumber slices, fresh onion, remoulade and ketchup, and for a more exotic type it is a chilean completo! yum yum
Hotdogs only taste good when grilled or covered in certain chili, so i definitely have to go with Hamburgers. It makes it so hard to stay in shape tho cause i eat 1-2 burgers a week
But i prefer mustard/chili burgers or burgers with only meat/cheese/bun/bbq sauce. I dont like lettuce, tomato, onions, etc. And i only eat mustard if its paired with chili. I only eat ketchup if its BK burgers. I only eat cheese if its a Wendys burger. Mcdonalds, BK and everyone elses cheese tastes sickening on a burger. And thats funny cause i didn't even eat Wendys burgers until last year. I hated them all childhood. And Sonics could be good but they never melt their cheese so nahh
I used to eat burgers every day when I heavy in the gym. Turkey burgers and mixed veggies every day. Burgers aren't bad for you. It's all the added shit that is.
Yea but i wasn't eatin turkey burgers lol. I was eatin fast food burgers 😂 now i mainly just eat lean beef burgers from the grocery meat dept or the freezer Ball Park grilled burgers.
I have a slight preference for hamburgers as long as I'm the one who made them. I like hot dogs as well but generally prefer them as a movie watching food. I get the all beef variety and almost burn them like you describe. I miss the wieners we got in Rhode Island and can't get them here in Florida. But generally I go with toasted bun, mustard, mayo and relish. with hamburgers I put them on a toasted roll with bacon, lettuce tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, ketchup and thousand island with provolone cheese.
I've never heard of a hot dog with mayo
I'm a bit of a culinary libertine.
Hamburgers 99% of the time. Every once in a while I'm in the mood for a hot dog with lots of yellow mustard... there's like the classic cartoon image of the hot dog that I find appealing like so:
... like at a baseball game. But then I'm always somewhat disappointed when I eat it and wish I had a burger instead.
I love corn dogs! I'm nt a huge fan of mustard tho.
That makes sense. I like a combination of savory and sweet so corndogs are perfect for that.
Just depends on what I'm in the mood for
lol that first pic tho..
if I must, I had my first burger since elementary school. That’s how traumatic I was from eating crappy school lunch.
that burger was from a steak house with their buns branded “prime”my son couldn’t finish, so I tried it. That’s a real burger.
only place I would eat a burger. Still I prefer their steak.
I like hamburgers. I make my own out of ground sirloin. I make them xtra large and get these xtra large rolls at the bakery.
@DizzyDesii I just took one out of the freezer.
I'm a burger bitch. More variety. I feel like you have to go somewhere special to get a decent hot dog, but even a lame burger is still kinda good.
Lmao burger bitch. Stealing that!
I went vegetarian as of late 2020, I used to eat hamburgers though.. but now I cannot stomach them personally.
That's good. I've been flirting with the idea of giving up meat. I did it for lent a few years ago and it didn't really bother me.
I love doggys WAY more
They taste better 😃😃😃😃
Not unless they are burnt lol. And even then. But I grew up on hot dogs and noodles so that's part of the reason why I don't eat them often
I like hamburgers more, but they also get me sick often, so it's kinda a give you flavor get you sick kinda deal.
The two don't compare. Hot dogs are situational. If I go to a ball game, it's gotta be a hot dog.
They do compare. Especially at a BBQ/cookout. You're either a hot dog person or a hamburger person.
I don't agree. People often have both. What I mean by them not comparing as "foods" is that a burger is far healthier source of protein and is not highly processed like a hot dog. Hot dogs are loaded with nitrates, sodium, and other chemical preservatives not found in good, fresh ground beef, especially humanely raised, hormone free, grass fed beef. Though hot dogs have fewer calories, a steady diet of them is far worse than a steady diet of good beef.
People do have both, but most people often prefer one over the other. Which was the point of the question.
a burger fries and mocha shake, to bad i need 4 miles traveling for my fav's
I had a burger, fries, and a shake yesterday. SOoo good
Awww next time!
I like hot dogs better. I prefer sausages over burger patty.
Hamburgers are better, you can cook and season them in many tasty ways, they are more nutritious, they can be a complete meal
Definitely hamburgers. I don't like to think about the content of hot dogs.
I keep both in my fridge. When I grille I alternate. A little Amish potato salad, peas, and I've got a meal whichever way I go.
Although now I fancy a hotdog... well frankfurter, I've not had one for years.
Hot Dogs, hopefully burnt nice and crispy.
Yessss... I love those grilled hot dogs with the burnt on them
@ShaTTeredMasterpeace And just a little fried onion.
I love relish and cheese on mine
@ShaTTeredMasterpeace That's certainly another tasty option.
Off of a grill i get both. But i do prefer burgers.
Burgers. Hot dogs just sometimes taste like sweat and too salty. Burger patties are more versatile for condiments.
I'm going to be smoking a brisket soon its like about 20 pounds of PURE epic goodness.
Hot dogs are trash.
I mean, I get the nostalgia or whatever but the meat itself that they use to make them is the ground up waste meat plus a ton of additives to cover up the flavor. It's not even real. I don't see that this is a fair fight and honestly I'm surprised that even 15% of people have chosen hot dogs over hamburgers. They must have either a specific taste or when they think of hamburgers they have only had a fast food hamburger like from McDondald's or something (also trash).
A real 1/2 lb burger made well with good selection of toppings, that's a thing of beauty.
I don't like all that stuff on my burgers. Mayo, ketchup, and fried onions. And cheese. Or just BBQ sauce and cheese.
Agree with how hot dogs are made.
