Normally I will order a turkey sandwich with pepper jack cheese (toasted of course), on the Italian herbs and cheese bread with lots of veggies except for onions, cucumbers, and jalapeños. Add salt, pepper, and yellow must and we're good to go. Rarely I'll get the pizza, but when I do it's the flatizza with pepperoni, spinach, green peppers, and tomatoes. Typically don't get a drink and cookie, but I'll get either the salsa flavored Sunchips if they have them. The best time to go to Subway in my hometown is during the day

+1 yIt's been ages since I've been to a Subway (about 16 years, I'll explain below), but I always used to get a veggie and cheese sub on Italian bread with lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber, hot peppers, olives, pepperjack cheese, sub sauce and extra mayo. I'd usually get a root beer with it with chips or Sunchips, and on rare occasions a chocolate chip cookie.
However, in 2006 I got violently ill after eating a Subway sub, and a few years before that I bought a Subway sub with legit rancid, slimy meat on it, so ever since getting sick I have never eaten at Subway again.
I like making my own subs at home though!

That's terrible and I'm so sorry to hear that. Yeah some subways aren't the best. There's a subway right next to the Publix grocery store and omg the place not only reeks but the food there is so gross. One time I kid you not one of the workers sneezed on the ingredients and that is when me and my mom walked out and went to the Pizza Hut next door

@Lucy68 Yeah, stuff like that happens, but it happened at different locations about 4-5 years apart and ever since then it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Both literally and figuratively. lol I sort of know what you mean about the reek though. I always found Subway bread smells funky when it's baking. It has a weird stinky foot-like smell or something. It's hard to describe. The weird thing is that it smells weird in the store, but it tastes good. It's like the durian fruit of the bread world. lol That sucks about your experience though. Some people simply do not belong in food service.

@Lucy68 Also, the worst part was the time when I had rancid meat on my sub, I went up to the counter to tell them about it and to get a refund (I didn't trust getting anything else) and the guy behind the counter wouldn't give me my money back! We wound up arguing over it and it was very busy during lunch time downtown, so there were about ten other people in line waiting to be served, and I got loud enough so that everyone in line heard about the rancid meat on my sub. Literally everyone in line left and at least 3/4 of the people sitting down started asking for a refund too. Eventually the guy gave me my money back and I told him that whole situation was avoidable if he'd just done the right thing and refunded my money right away. Like, how do you serve something that can literally kill someone and not be caring (or at least embarrassed) enough to give them their money back? The nerve of some people.
The Meatball Parmesan sub. But in the SUBWAYs here in Korea, they're always running out of meatballs or they're hard to prepare or something, so if they don't have that, or I don't feel like it, I'll get the Barbeque Chicken sub. On rare occasions, maybe a half-and-half. I only go there once every two weeks or so; usually on a Tuesday because of the Sub Of The Day.

+1 yI love getting the black forest ham (1 foot) with lightly toasted bread, provolone/swiss cheese (as long as it's white and not spicy), onions, shredded lettuce, and honey mustard. Or I'll just get a tuna sandwich if I'm not in the mood to talk much. 🙂😋

I would say so, yes. However, not everyone is a fan of it

+1 yUsually the following (been going there for about 10 years now)
Footlong
Hearty Italian bread
Italian BMT
Double meat
Cheese toasted
Gherkins
Spinach
Lettuce
Cucumber
Onions
Sweet onion sauce
I have tried other thing like the meatballs and the mega meat, I might try to make a (probably terrible) cheese steak sometime00 Reply - 618 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic.
+1 yThere are far too many good delicatessens in my area to settle for Subway. However the few times in my life that I have been there, the buffalo chicken with melted provolone on multigrain bread is decent enough.
00 Reply 589 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. Turkey, ham, shredded cheese, with tomatoes, lettuce, and mayo on white bread, toasted. Sometimes a BMT. Add cookies and a drink if we're eating there.

+1 yI haven't been to subway in years. Their subs are so skimpy compared to the ones I get from a real hero shop. When I did go there I got a ham and Swiss with the works minus the olives and jalapeño peppers.

00 ReplySubway sandwiches are terrible. Way too much bread and no meat.

+1 yI’ve gotten the same thing since 1998. Footlong meatball on Italian. Onions, salt/pepper, Parmesan cheese, oregano.
00 ReplyI would get a foot long on the Italian herbs and cheese bread. Meatballs with old English cheese and cheddar cheese. Toasted with barbecue sauce.

+1 yI've never actually been to subway. I really struggle with the idea of going there tbh.

I go strictly to the one in my hometown cause the ladies have known me since I was basically a newborn and we're also family friends with them as well. They're good people, haven't been in a while cause money's tight now due to this economy unfortunately but when I go back I'm leaving a hefty tip.
- +1 y
That sounds really nice. I've never been as I really struggle with people and have anxiety and all the options and that it's just to much. Im honestly kinda scared to try it because of that
- +1 y
Oh no I'm so sorry, if it makes you feel better I have struggled with that in the past when I would go to places like McDonald's and Burger King so what I would do is I knew what I wanted so I wouldn't look at the menu (I do now cause they add new stuff now), I'd just tell them. But I'd order along with a friend together and that helped. You can do it don't worry*hugs*. As for Subway they have their stuff online and the app, see what they have, write it down (, that's what my dad does), and feel free. But you can do it, we're rooting for you.

Thank you, it's why when I spent a year away with work we were given a food allowance I only really ate at McDonald's and Witherspoons as I could order without having to interact with anyone.
I'll give it some thought but yeah I doubt I could order for myself at this point. I'd have to go with someone I trust and have them order for me as atm it's just way to much.

I only go to the one in my hometown cause the ladies there have known me since I was a newborn and they know my order by heart. It's a bit more healthier just add extra veggies and I normally get the 6inch instead of the foot long, and have a side of fruit or salad at home. But it's a bit healthier.
