I don't know where you shop but you can get a hand of bananas, a sack of apples and oranges for under ten dollars. That is pounds of fruit for under ten dollars. Also you can buy frozen fruits and vegetables for cheaper. They are actually healthier for you because they flash freeze them when they are ready. Fresh produce is actually picked early and they let it ripen during transport and while in storage which makes it less nutrient dense because it isn't gaining nutrients from the soil/host plant while it ripens.

I feel like they want to slowly kill people by making them die of "natural causes" there's no better way to do it than to manipulate the source of nutrition

Because the US heavily subsidized is the production of corn for ethanol. And basically high fructose corn syrup. It is so heavily subsidized that it is not profitable to produce a lot of other fruits and vegetables

Man, I guess my area is different, we have farmers markets and fruits and veggies are rarely expensive.

they're actually not. not usually at least. meat is more expensive. but nowadays, sure because of inflation. but they don't cost more than meat.
