By and large, I drink water (and zero ultra) almost exclusively. I’m really asking, has anyone else noticed that forcing yourself to drink water makes you nauseous, while forcing down even water with lemon juice does not?

I'm currently drinking nothing but distilled water... and beer. The lemon juice thing does work. The pure water just tastes real... off. Here is the interesting thing though...
Water was making me sick before I bought a water distiller. There was something in it that just made me sort of want to vomit all the time. Sometimes I would end up having to puke. Distilled water doesn't do that to me. So yeah it might taste a little off, but it doesn't make me physically ill.
I think I was developing a conditioned response due to feeling ill. Made me not want to drink water. It's not why I started distilling my water, but it is something I've noticed since I did.
I started distilling my water because of female hormones in it. Turns out that fluoride also acts as a female hormone. Same with anything in plastic bottles which is why store-bought distilled water has an expiration date (the container is plastic).
There literally is bullshit in the water that turns the freaken frogs gay.
Ignorant Eurasians might assume American preference from modified water beverages doesn't stem from a NEED to modify it to keep from being killed by toxins? Eh, what else is new?
But- no, if your water is making you nauseous, there's either something wrong with it, or something wrong with you. Talk to a doctor and/or water purifier.

I'm American.
Water is better tasting than all other drinks in my opinion, especially cold.
Mixing water with some lemon juice makes water taste really gross, unless its so much juice that it just tastes like juice/lemonade, but water by itself still tastes better.
Depends where you live. A lot of places in the south don’t have very good water quality and need filters on their sinks for drinking. If you live in the north in the mountains the water quality is vastly improved and tastes a lot better.
That's why I put a whole house water filter in. Before my wife bought a small burqa water filtering system. Even though they say that the water in our area is the best in the nation. It still has odor.
Water just tastes like nothing
