Is it normal for your ass to smell bad even after washing?

I take a shower twice a day and make sure to scrub my ass with soap and water and rinse the inside of my ass throughly.. yet my ass still smells. For example I take a shower at 8pm and go to bed and when I wake up my ass smells really bad.

No… I don’t think so. I think you should visit a doctor, because I am not a professional and don’t know the answers or how to give advice.


However, I think you need to maybe focus on wearing loose fitting underwear, or none at all when you go to sleep. That will help air everything out, so it prevents keeping the sweat and bacteria from gathering.


You should also consider an enema, maybe that will help clean everything out, if it is just left over feces…?


And, I know that sometimes having hair down there can trap some feces. Yes, hair is meant to be there because it acts like a filter to prevent anything from getting there… But if you have hair down there and you are not properly wiping or you are sweaty, it will trap smells and bacterias.


Those are the only things I can suggest… I hope it helps and I hope you do try to consult a doctor.

Wipes are fine but washing that area with quality soap and fresh cool water is what work unless she has medical condition down there.

If you have tried different body wash to no avail, it may actually have to do with how your body is processing food.


Here is a list of items that make the body smell good, they are in no particular order: apples, pineapple, oranges, strawberries, jasmine tea, lemon, lemon water, probiotics, cinnamon, thyme, and mint. A woman needs 11 cups of water a day, a man needs 15 cups a day. Stick with that for 3 days for the odors to neutralize.


Here are foods that create bad odors: mushrooms, high sodium, onions, garlic, broccoli, eggs, seafood, asparagus, cauliflower, strong spices, red meat and alcohol.


Other factors could include sensitivity to perfume, cleaners, fabric softeners, laundry detergents, fabric or chemicals that the body is sensitive to.


The water itself used can stink too. It happens often with wells.

No. You're probably using cheap soap. That's not to say you're butt suppose smell like flowers, but if you washed it properly with quality soap then your butt shouldn't have a horrible smell to it as you described it.

I get right in there with the shower hose, lol. Try using body wash for sensitive skin or baby wipes. Also definitely take a trip to your GP to find out if there is an underlying cause.
