I don't necessarily call it overthinking, more a way of allowing myself a head's up for all eventualities!, because I'm not someone who likes surprises (Whether good OR bad) This way, I tend to cut down on the odds of that happening!

You know what? The more I'm sitting here thinking about it, the more I draw the conclusion, perhaps I DO overthink!

I can be at times , if my gut instincts suspect something doesn’t seem right , I will usually overthink things about what it could or could not be , My gut instincts are usually pretty accurate , but I don’t always trust my gut until I analyze shit in my head. I experienced and witnessed a lot of things in my lifetime which I think is why I am now this way compared to when I was younger , when I was younger , I didn’t really overthink things whatsoever , I just went with the flow , I think overthinking comes from things we experienced and witnessed in our lifetime , our brains absorb so much shit that we really don’t think about that gets to buried deep inside ourselves , causing us to have memories and flashbacks of things. So I don’t think overthinking is a bad thing , unless you allow it to take over you and control your life.

I am definitely an overthinker and it puts me into a downward spiral or pessimistic mindset most of the time. It's something I really need to work on, but through the years I feel I'e come to terms with the fact that it might just be who I am.
