There's two types I really enjoyed in my childhood.

One was these really soft jam ones with powdered sugar, that I think were discontinued at some point and I used to get these other plain fried ones from some place and they were really nice too.

If I had to pick one, I'd go with the jam ones, because whilst a lot of jam ones I've seen nowadays look the same, they're much harder and have regular sugar on them, as opposed to powdered sugar.
