It's been at least 55 years since I've had a milk delivery provider, likewise a newspaper delivery service.

I can still picture both in my mind's eye, with the milkman occasionally tossing a chunk of ice for us children to play with.

What, pray tell, brought that subject to mind?

Nope. The diary lands in my area are all subdivisions now.

Nope. Milk deliver existed in bigger cities in 50ties here. At least I have seen this on chronicles from this time. However, with introduction of cooling for diary products in industry and later refrigerators in homes, this service disappeared.

We sure do. When we moved number of years ago we had to switch dairies, but fortunately the milk quality is just as good is our original dairy :-)
