I love waffles for what they bring to the table. They’re a mix of crispy and soft, a toasted flavor that can soak up the butter and syrup well. However, pancakes will hold the syrup well if you poke them with the fork a little before pouring the syrup.

I like chicken & waffles and strawberry waffles with whipped cream. I only dislike them when they're too hard to eat. But I like pancakes better.
