It's a Vesper, a. k. a. the James Bond martini - 3 parts gin, 1 part vodka, 1/4 to 1/2 oz Lillet Blanc, large wedge of lemon peel. Sometimes I'll swap out the portions of gin to vodka. Oh, and it should be stirred, not shaken, but it sounds cooler the other way for the movies :)

Bourbon and ginger ale.

Try your fave hard liquor, tequila/rum/gin/whisky with ginger ale, tonic or ginger beer. Those additives at 3:1 ratio, maybe 4:1 if you’re sensitive, you’ll find your mark.

I usually drink liquor neat so I don't drink calories. I don't drink much anyway but if I'm going to have a random cocktail it would be the good old fashioned.
