A few of us were running late meeting family at a pizzeria. They refused to seat them in the dining room without the rest of the group there "in case they needed the tables"... HUH... We're all coming. What the heck is the difference? That makes absolutely no sense. And of course there were a bunch of open tables, so it was never even an issue. We got one pepperoni and one half pepperoni/half bruschetta because my brother is a borderline vegan. They charged $4.50 more for the mixed pie, despite half of it not having cheese and just having bruschetta as the topping. I thought that was really weird to charge more for a pie that is cheaper/easier to make actually when you think about it.

It makes a ton of sense. You're sitting there holding a table and not ordering while waiting for your party. A restaurant isn't there for you to hang out. It's there to make the owner money. If the menu stated it's an upcharge for a split pie, and you ordered a split pie, then shut the fuck up about it.
they had customers lie in the past, and so saved tables hoping customers would come.
Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
