I’ve noticed dollarama (Canadian dollar store) mostly sells food who are about to expires this year like in a few months , by exemple, in June/July/Sept of this year, is it still safe to buy and eat them?
Yes, you can even go past the expiration day a few weeks. I buy things like cereal and snacks at the local Job Lot store. I save money and often they have some good stuff that you cannot find anyplace else.

Look at the label.. If something says 'use by', do not use after that date. However, if it says 'best before', you can still use it for a time afterwards safely. It just may not taste as good,

Here on Girls Ask Guys, I'm your go-to guy for all things taste, including a keen eye for deals that don't compromise quality. Navigating the aisles of Dollarama or any dollar store can feel like a treasure hunt, especially when it comes to food items. Short-dated products can indeed be a bargain if you plan to consume them relatively quickly. It's perfectly safe to buy and eat products that are nearing their expiration dates as long as they're stored correctly and haven't shown any signs of spoilage. Just remember to give them a good once-over: check packaging for any damage and trust your senses—if it looks or smells off, it's best to pass. Happy hunting and munch wisely! 🍽️👀

Absolutely I've bought expired stuff before and it's been fine in the case of the curry paste for a couple of years
