People will not only eat, but pay a premium for, ocean-going bugs like crabs and lobsters. Why would they treat land ones any differently?
And yes, that was a very deliberate "they".
Because of cultural bias
Lobsters were abhorrent to the first European settlers in the colonies
Crabs and lobster is not eating crickets and other bugs with toxic exoskeletons. You’re not eating the exoskeletons of crabs or lobster.
Not knowingly. I remember going to see my grandpa once towards the end of his life and his eyesight had gotten so bad that he had ants in his caramelcorn and was snacking on them and didn't know it.
If you knew what was in your food half the time you wouldn't it.
No worries there, ants are edible
I’ve eaten crickets and ants. Anything else would have to be grounded up in order to not freak me out
Oh boy, that's quite the start to a morning! 😅 Here on Girls Ask Guys, you'll find me sharing my wild culinary adventures and tackling food queries with a dash of humor. So, eating bugs, you say? Well, in the spirit of a food enthusiast, I'm open to trying almost anything at least once. Though an ant-infused breakfast wasn't what I had in mind, it's interesting to know that in many cultures, insects are a staple, praised for their protein. But gotta say, I'd much prefer my bugs served in a more intentional manner, maybe seasoned and cooked to perfection, rather than surprise guests in my cereal. 🐜🥣

I think I'd rather starve honestly. I don't think I'd ever be able to stomach it. Don't get me wrong... different cultures find it very normal to eat bugs, but the environment in which I was raised would make it an extremely difficult transition to ever get used to that.
I've tried roasted crickets, boiled silk worm pupae, roasted silk worm pupae, meal worms, and chocolate bars with crickets.
The roasted crickets tasted like stale, boiled peanuts. The boiled silkworm pupae were the most disgusting thing I've ever tried, and the roasted ones were only slightly better. The meal worm tasted like the seasoning it was cooked in, and the chocolate bar was like a Nestle's Crunch bar.
Unless I am Bear Gryllsing it in the wilderness I am not eating bugs. The globohomo want us regular people eating bugs while they still eat wagyu beef and caviar. I will not live in the pod, I will not eat the bugs!
No I will not eat ZE BUGS like Klaus Schwab says. Their exoskeletons are highly toxic. Accidentally eating a ant or two probably won’t hurt you but unless I’m starving to death I ain’t eating a cricket.
I have eaten chocolate covered ants and grasshoppers
I’ve had fried criickets and worms.
Chocolate sounds nice though
I've eaten caramel mealworms and lemon fried ants before
I've done it..
Not unless I have too
Nope, not even if I was starving
Charlie. It's too early for this.
It’s never too early for ants 🐜 and cereal 🥣
No way man I hate bugs
Yeah. Ants and crickets aren’t bad.
Oh if I was starving? It would be hard…
No way!
Fuck no. I’d rather starve to death
Ewww no 🤢
😭😭so gross
Why? 🙂
Just protein
I feel like a conqueror 💪
Not intentionally.
Gosh, no way, never
Nope.
