I used to make them and have eaten them many times. One time my friend came over with 4 ounces of weed and said he wanted some cookies. I put the weed in the crock pot with 16 sticks of butter and cooked it for 12 hours on low. The next day I made 72 chocolate chip peanut butter and oatmeal cookies which tasted great. I ate three while making them and went straight to hell. I couldn't see straight or walk straight, and thought I was going to die while stumbling around the house in a nightmare for 2 hours. Then I drank a small bottle (375 ML) of Jack Daniels green label whiskey in 10 minutes to calm down. My brother got home shortly after that and it was like Jesus came home, I was so happy that I wasn't going to die alone. I then became really drunk and puked, then went to sleep for like 12 hours. That was about 10 years ago. I think I've only eaten them in small doses a couple times since then. Anyways I gave them to my friend and told him to start with one cookie. He called me the next day and said the cookie didn't do anything. I told him to try 1 1\2 or 2. The next day he comes over to my house and hands me a big container with 68 of the cookies in it. He said something like "fuck these things, you can have them!" I asked him what happened, he said he was watching tv and ate 3 of them because they tasted good. He said he got more fucked up than he's ever been in his life and it was terrible hahaha

It depends…. Sometimes I get these gummies, that are amazing! Seriously they are so much like candy that I have to buy a bag of gummies, so I don’t eat more when I get the munchies! But some of them are just friggin’ horrible! The gummies by “Encore” literally taste like Turpentine! I have a ℞ (prescription) for them from my neurologist for chronic insomnia, and in consultation with my therapist for PTSD. I don’t know how well they work for PTSD, but they work GREAT for sleep, and I don’t feel like shit the next day like I do with my prescription sleeping pills. Which only makes me not want to take them! This was the first medical decision I made without consulting my mom, who’s a physician and trauma surgeon, and the ONE doctor I truly trust is truly looking out for me, and my best interests, and not the interests of big pharmaceutical companies.

My mom was SO against medical marijuana, b/c of the propaganda from the American Medical Association (AMA) that has opposed the legalization of medical marijuana. B/C it will affect the sales of pharmaceuticals! While the AMA acknowledges that marijuana “may have some potential therapeutic benefits", it has consistently argued against legalizing it, claiming that more research is needed to determine its safety and effectiveness. But as long as it’s illegal in the federal system, the FDA. will not approve, or even allow medical marijuana studies. There is only ONE legal FDA study going on at The University of Mississippi, and it’s allowed to grow marijuana for research conducted by scientists studying its medical benefits, effects, and risks. The program has been criticized over the years for limiting the variety and potency of the cannabis available for research, as well as the tiny amount of marijuana it allows the university to grow each year. But as soon as my mom realized that by taking just ONE gummy, I could get a good nights sleep and feel great the next day, she’s been a huge proponent!

No! My mom is a trauma surgeon and she's pretty much on call 24 seven, unless she's on vacation. Even if she's been invited to a party, or has a party planned at their house, she has to let Work know that she'll be drinking alcohol, so they can get another surgeon to replace her, on the “on-call” list. Needless to say, my mom does not drink that much at all. She is definitely not going to try marijuana which is still illegal for recreational use in this state. however, she is now very open to referring patients who come to the emergency room requesting pain medication to a medical marijuana dispensary. If she gets patient who comes in complaining that they haven't slept in days, She recommends marijuana for them as well. (after all, she's licensed by the state, and in this state, any physician can prescribe marijuana. To someone with a medical marijuana card.). So while she believes in its use for medical purposes, she does not believe in using it recreationally. She prescribes narcotics, for medical purposes, but she doesn't take narcotics recreationally! Being a physician, she knows the difference between taking a medication that's been prescribed to by a physician (who is not you) and taking a medication to get high! I mean, seriously… Would you even want your emergency room surgeon to have been high last night?

Everyone likes edibles & if the edibles have weed in them some people would like them even more. As for me I’ll pass on the weed because I wouldn’t want to risk throwing away my career away if that stuff shows up in my system.
