Dunkins are very hit and miss because some bake their own and some don't so that's usually the difference-so a friend who works there tells me. Krispy Kreme's seem like the glaze overwhelms the whole thing although I haven't eaten one from there in like 10 years. I had Voodoo in Portland once. They had some interesting flavors. We have a place called BoSa. I'm not sure if they are outside Arizona anywhere but love them.

There is a placed called Marry Me Mochi. I don’t know if they’re a mom and pop shop but I do know they have a few stores in GTA area. They’re so good.

Where I come from, your best bet for donuts is the local mom and pop shops.

We have lots of open air markets and farm stands where they sell fresh apple fritters and donuts. In some cases it's even MTO, where they'll fry the donut up right in front of you.

Surprisingly Walmart. Dunkin Doughnuts is the only doughnut shop in my area, and their doughnuts are meh, so are the doughnuts at my local supermarkets meh, but the doughnuts from my local Walmart, are pretty good for doughnuts.
