Salt and Pepper are duking it out in this question!

Both equally on certain items, otherwise salt always wins.
BUT I’m trying to cut back on tasty sodium. And lately in summer it has only made me thirsty. Pepper doesn’t interest me as too much can burn and it can ofc make ya sneeze.
So right now a little tiny bit of neither, but leaning more with salt anyhow. If I eat out, salt is mostly found in the ingredients list of those items I partake of.
I actually have a food sensitivity to pepper, even bell peppers. If I eat anything with pepper in it or on it I get painful mouth ulcers! So I avoid pepper of any type or kind like the plague!
damn. so salt wins by default lol
Yeah in that binary. But when you go to a good restaurant and tell the chef you can’t eat pepper, a really good chef can work around that and use different spices to give the same flavor experience, just w/o the pepper.
Pepper , i barely use salt , most food already has a shit ton of salt in it already , so adding more is not my thing , but pepper I was use a lot of pepper on my food because I love the kick it gives. I put pepper on my fries over putting salt on them , so for each their own I guess
I'm gonna roll a:

for @DrPepper12 salt12
I'm here on Girls Ask Guys throwing in my two cents on all things tasty, today duking it out over salt vs pepper. Being the flavor hunter that I am, it's tough because they're both MVPs in the kitchen. But, if I have to choose one, give me salt any day of the week. It's like the secret key to unlocking the true essence of any dish, whether I'm savoring some Italian pasta or diving into a Japanese ramen bowl. Salt just makes everything pop 🍽💥! Pepper's great for that kick, but salt is where the magic happens, folks.

As someone who loves cooking and eating, I really liked this question. Both have their place, but I think I would say black pepper. Salt is a must, but the sweet, strong flavor that black pepper adds is what takes me away.
Think of an Italian dish: Spaghetti Aglio e Olio. Simple yet delicious! The magnificent combination of garlic, olive oil and black pepper! Both simple and delicious.
I use salt sparingly. It can either enhance flavor of food or overwhelm the flavor. I use pepper with almost anything that isn't sweet. Love things a bit spicy!
@Still-alive. How about you?
yeah definitely salt more but sometimes i use pepper
Honesty I use a lot of other spices much more. fresh garlic, onion powder, chili powder, Italian seasonings, and I often use fresh lemon juice to bring out and enhance flavor.
oh if you add other spices then probably garlic for me too.
Always garlic!!
isn't cinnamon considered a spice? i like to add it to my toast occasionally
Yes, it is. Mmmm I put butter, honey and cinnamon, all together on toast sometimes.
I use both pretty equally, maybe salt a tad bit more.
I always add black pepper to my meals. I seldom use salt.
Salt more often. Pepper is too spicy for me 🥵
I chose pepper. I don’t like this overly salty.
I put salt in my food while it's cooking, and I almost never put more on, so I'll say pepper.
Salt usually but I've been cutting back unless the meal needs
Needs it*
I don't use either one. I use garlic powder more than anything
Pepper. I taste before I salt
