Air sipping is drinking out of a bottle or liquid container without putting your lips on it, just letting it pour using gravity lol

To be honest, that's how we drink water from bottles and sometimes even from glass. If your bottle container has been touched by lips of everyone who's drinking out of it, you're all just smooching each other at this point. I don't remember the last time I did not drink water like that. Everyone in my household does that. Heck I do that even with my personal water bottle. I never really thought about it until this question came.

Now that I think of it, it's such a common thing in India to air sip everything. I remember once when I was in 6th grade and our school called this musical band from London to perform in our school and they were drinking the bottle by putting it on their lips. They were all drinking out of the same bottle! Me and my friends were horrified and disgusted and we made jokes about how they were kissing each other indirectly the whole time because they can't kiss each other directly as they might have a partner! We were weird.

Pretty ironic about how Indians have ick about sharing a water bottle in this way but not about the dirty streets.

It's always the celebrities or rich people for some reason who don't mind sharing water bottles like that. Wait, it's even with food! You don't eat food if someone else had a bite out of that or used a spoon (if the food have touched someone's saliva). There was this video where it said that it's even an ick in Japan. I guess it's an East and South Asian thing.

Its valid tho, germs don't let people slide cause they feel generous, they just infect lol, I don't blame anyone that doesn't share food, I don't share food either, nobody in my family does when the food isn't fully solid and dry and multiple, I can't imagine anyone would share a bowl of spaghetti for example, unless they made enough for several people and served them in different plates, same with ice cream, a bunch of people dipping their spoons after they sucked on them shits is just nasty 😂

In my household, that water air sipping thing is really followed well. Not the food thing though for some reason. But I would never share or eat half eaten food from my friends or someone other than my parents and sister unless I know them really really well. Not things like cone ice cream though when it's completely coated with your saliva.
