Tradionally, when a drink is mulled, it's wine, a festive drink. But I'm convinced that cider (apple wine actually) and beer would do perfectly also. I like the idea of spiced beer on particular occasions. It marks some festive moments with a special taste ;0)

You pour alcoholic into a pot, add spices such as cinnamon, ginger, cloves etc and gently heat until infused then serve hot. It's a popular winter drink in Europe.
